Re: Ableton Live 10 - whats your favourite new features?

I agree Push is a good controller, but I have strong doubts it is good for me. I might be wrong, but I'm not going to pay £600 to find out. What one can do is to pick up a second hand original Push and play with that for a while until you sell it at a smaller loss to get a Push 2 or give up. Or sta...

Re: Ableton Live 10 - whats your favourite new features?

Drum buss= you get three different overdrive circuits, transient boosts, it’s a Swiss Army knife for your drums .

Wavetable is cool especially the look in Push 2. It makes me want to tweak away with all the visual feedback.

Re: Live 10 upgrade path

Finally preordered. :D

Thanks Ableton for putting out a great piece of kit. I like the new features for my push 2 and drum buss. The overdrive on drum buss and transient control is amazing.

I can't wait to check out the new sample library too.

Re: Low latency Thunderbolt soundcard

My focusrite clarett 8pre is great. Nice sound when I record my synths and samplers into it. Doesn't color things. Latency is very low so drumming in live or mpc 2.0 feels like a breeze

Re: Is Komplete important?

I have komplete 10 ultimate. I have had it since the 2016 summer of sale. I don't need to use everything bundled, but here are my go to's Kontakt for acoustic instrument patches to play melodies too. It's good enough to write melodies too and that's what counts for me. Also it's a powerful sampler t...

Why does drum racks default to -12dB?

Always wondered this. IS it to allow headroom for effects? Battery 4 seems like it's at 0dB

Apollo 8 and live 9.7 question

I was thinking about getting an Apollo 8 to track my individual tracks from Live to my SSL XDesk (for analogue summing) and back into the Apollo 8. Can I isolate each Ableton audio track output into physical outputs of the Apollo 8?

Re: Velocity on Push 2: Bug???

Maybe im wrong, and yes it should be the same no matter what sample you feed the drum rack, it just sounds like some samples dont trigger any dynamic. You've merely observed that some VSTIs have been set up to be more velocity-responsive than others. That is to be expected, and does not indicate a ...

Re: Native Instruments just ripped off Push big-time, ha!

I only use it for making patterns, and only with the controller. I really don't like using Maschine via the laptop, it's just clunky and slow to do a lot of things. From the Studio hardware, feels way more natural to me too. Yup. Great way of gathering sounds and patterns. That's about it. That's w...

Thanks James Wiltshire is such a cool guy. I saw him give an in depth tutorial to his productions. He makes it so easy. Gonna snag another one of his sample packs and pay for it
