Play piano on drums (drumKat)

5 note pattern is played slow in the beginning so you can here it, then I start drumming - am new to this so yeah I fuck up a bit, but it's sparking my interest that's for sure (the drumKat that is):

New Work inspired by a max for live patch woot!

Finally got my hands on max for live, and am experimenting with a patch to create some of my piano ideas only a little more fleshed out.. this is still in its baby stages and will be performed live - most of the effects are moving between beat repeat, filter sweep, reverb, delay (4/4) on all the dif...

Revised Drum Build Up (you could use this in dance too..)

Was working on a track and the feedback was pretty much that it was sounding a bit too 80's... not that the 80's matters specifically, but it's supposed to be as epic as possible... so anyways here was my solution Arpeggiated drum at 1/8... Duplicated - a bit further in changed rate to 1/16th, added...

Re: Inspired by the Greek Tragedy, Hippolytus

Hey Terrence; Appreciate the feedback - I probably should have clarified that this is much more of a collage of ideas associated with the play as opposed to telling the full tragedy (does that make sense?). In plays, often times people will write the 'fable' of a play which covers the dramatic arch ...

Inspired by the Greek Tragedy, Hippolytus

I don't really like reading plays, but at least they have some epic and brutal themes.. this was music created for the Greek Tragedy Hippolytus. He's dragged to death by a chariot at the end, by the way. Anyways, I did a bunch of image research for this, and did a write up of how it inspired my proc...

Re: In Nova Musica Submission to Modern Music

Tlennon - that's great feedback - I have just in the past months really started to wrap my head around not just the value in, but how and why to use compression. As soon as you said that, it made perfect sense - I've already submitted my piece but I will be sure to keep this in mind when working wit...

Re: In Nova Musica Submission to Modern Music

Thank you kindly, Bio! Tlennon! Thank you as well for the feedback, but I have to ask... do you use Session Strings much? I really do dig their sounds - at least for me it was the most affordable upgrade into some kind of sampled string library before getting LASS or whatever... my only issue is tha...

In Nova Musica Submission to Modern Music

Hi guys, Thought I would share a recent piece created for the In Nova Musica competition held in Andorra. This was inspired by the set I'd been working on lately like a mad man. This is a much more condensed version featuring some NI Session Strings (when I can get those damn things to work, I reall...

Recording VST Samples not correctly tempo syncing..

Was wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue? I've been using NI's Session Strings and Sample Logic's Cinematic Guitars as VST's to get some more diverse samples flowing into my sets. When I'm running them live, I have no issues. When I flatten the audio, there always seems to be a little bi...

Re: Celebrating my 1000 crasches.

I've only had Live crash once. The only other time it has locked up is when using VST's with heavy sample libraries..

Re: hd set screen grab - practice 81

thanks pepezabala... the actual performance was today (was a blast!)... was in a blackbox theatre so it..was kind of like a cave lol.. not quite the same reverb, but we had two house speakers mounted above towards the audience and two subs behind me. After everyone got settled, the lights were shut ...

Practice 101

Goal was to hit 100 practices before the performance, and I made it.. have decided to cut one part of this (aside from that weird blip in the beginning) but other than that, if my performance tomorrow goes like this I'll be a happy man :)
