Re: TouchAble - complete controller for Ableton Live & IPAD
Well, I set it up exactly as stated in your video, actually I had it pretty much set up this way except I hadn't set the iPad to a static IP. Touchable works flawlessly on my Mac Pro (as mentioned in one of my messages to you) but still crashes on my MacBook Pro. Furthermore, it loses connection on ...

Re: TouchAble - complete controller for Ableton Live & IPAD
I am having the same issues as beats me. For me it wouldn't connect at all at first using ad hoc, but was connecting using my router. I did a hard reset on my iPad and all the sudden I was able to use the ad hoc connection. That being said, a lot of times it loses connection and I am arming a track ...

Re: 8.1.3???
You may find this surprising, but the vast majority of our users don't hang out on the forums. There are artists using Live 8.x in clubs, theaters, etc who have absolutely no problems. Ever. We know this because they tell us and because we go to their gigs. The experience of some people in this for...

Re: Propellerhead Test Pilots?
Record is really cool, but really cluttered I think. The editing features of Record 1.0 are very "primitive" imho. You can't even reverse audio, you'll have to use the NN-XT to do that. There's too much mouse clicking imho, and even though you can hide some parts of the channel strip it's still a lo...

Re: pops while recording
What a bummer, sorry to hear that. Did the driver of the MOTU change at all? Slightly off topic, but I couldn't resist, of course one can record professional audio at 44.1kHz. Unless you have a great sample rate converter that does an incredible job converting the sample rate from 48kHz to 44.1kHz (...

Re: pops while recording
Hi,
Do you experience the pops during recording or when playing back your session? Are you monitoring through Live or through MOTU's cuemix? What's the latency set to in Live? Did it somehow change? Are you using warping at all, if so is it set to complex pro?

Re: WTF?? Big crash lots of work lost!!!
last save 4 hours ago == fail. it's abletons fault that it crashed. it's your fault you lost lots of work. Why is it a big fail if he didn't save it for 4 hours? When you're in the midst of working sometimes it just happens that you don't save. If a program crashes you should be able to recover the...

Re: Getting Live to be like MainStage
Program changes only work for VSTi's that accept it, not all do! Also, Live's internal instruments don't respond to program changes that's why you have to use the chain select to switch between presets.

Re: Getting Live to be like MainStage
Paddy, how do you not run out of CPU? I know you're only using Ableton instruments but it still looks like you have a lot of soft synths going for each scene and I'm guessing you're not turning them off... Obviously I am not Paddy, but Live's native instruments and effects don't use any CPU when th...

Re: Anyone else getting odd alignment problems with notes?
Your arrangement grid is set to 1/8T which is triplet notes and the clip is set to 1/8th (straight notes). Press CTRL (CMD) + 3 in the arrange view and you should be all set.

Re: Getting Live to be like MainStage
I do this exactly like Pitch Black, the only difference (and issue I am having) is that I also use 3rd party plugins and soft synths. What I noticed is that when using chain selectors to switch between "presets" synths or plugins, both run at the same time for just a moment meaning I get a quick CPU...
