Not in the picture: guitars and basses, piano. And here's my ugly f...

Setting warp mode default per track

The idea is: in my first track I have drums so I want to warp them in beat mode, next track is guitar and there I want tone mode.
Rather than setting the warp mode for each clip individually I would love to set t for tracks.

Example: Macs are more fun, because they make pictures and videos, and PC are for Pie Charts, and graphs. Of course, this is a ridiculous claim.... because a PC is just as capable of working with video and pictures as a Mac. In case you don't know: the clever advertisers used a thing called irony ....

jazz powered by live

christian eckert used live exclusively to produce his new album: sapporo sound hotel - musique noire. very cool jazz, spiced with typical live manipulations and loops. http://www.jazzpages.com/ChristianEckert/ soundsamples are available @ amazon. an excellent example what live can do in an non_DJ se...

1. I think I am more likely a cautious converter. 2. In a music store doing research for software we could use to create music for interactive media applications. 3. usability 4. “improvisation” features make the creative process smooth and somehow support my chaotic (or non-linear) workflow 5. Live...

man, i did not know, that one could have a fast hd in an iBook. i like that 12" format. thanks for the tip. I'll think I'll wait some months and see if apple releases an intel iBook. i am in a media agency and we have some apple users and some pc users. it was getting hard over the last year to just...

(edit: misunderstood the question.) The stock HD of the iBook seems a little lacking once I get around 6 tracks of playback -- especially if v5 is decoding .mp3 files in the background. I've upgraded the HD to a 7200 RPM which not only solves the HD access problem, but also bought me a few more CPU...

I had an Averatec before getting an iBook. hi ryan, how does the hd of the iBook perform? I was thinking about an iBook, too but worry about the 4200 rpm hd Never had problems with the hard drive of my TiBook 867 though. but cpu underperforms (especially with operator) - that's why I look around if...

I was working on a commercial since my last post (has to be finished tomorrow morning) and two operators and a few audio tracks forced my pb 867 to choke....

I think I'll wait for the intelIBooks, then

ASIO4all makes them somehow usable but it is not like PB, it does not change the fact that even expensive pc notebooks have 1$ soundcards. You will need external aha, asio4all is a driver for wdm (?) soundcards or wdm driven soundcards. whatever that means.. it's a wild wide world out there... ;-) ...

so asio is available for internal cards? I am using a pc in the agency and we had to build in a terratec soundcard jsut to get the latencies right. I want to spend something like 1G€ +/- 50% for a new notebook. as much as I would have spent on a new iBook. I had a look at the averatec 3715 which see...

searching for advice on pc notebook

yeah, i am ready to make the switch from mac to pc. I'd like to get a small notebook, 12" or 13" screen questions: are there notebooks who enable me to play software instruments weith low latencies with the internal audio card (I love that about my pb)? are there notebooks providing power for firewi...
