IIRC, there is a special switcher used (cirque du soleil used live for love too)
the device has inputs for all outs of both computers and outputs in the mixer, if one system goes down, the device automagically switch from cpu 1 to cpu2 (probably with a hidden track)

the ms20 mini only has USB midi, you still need to plug the audio outs in your soundcard to record it

not on the track since it would mess up clip view, but every single midi clip can have program/bank changes

no, it's by design, it's is a peak meter, it needs to hold the highest peak

just put every gain to 0 by clicking the orange arrow, they even have numeric display

it has everything to do, he just need to analyse the noise alone in the noise reducing plugin, then have th eplugin remove it from the recording of the synth, no need to waste time manually doing it
