Re: Humanizing midi track

I have found temporary solution - to run Live 8 demo, put here "MidiO" plugin and record midi to Live 7  Now the days will be brighter to wait until upgrade :)

Re: Humanizing midi track

Thank you for replies, guys, it looks like I have to upgrade to Live 8 (I'm still on 7 and waiting for "Max for Live" to upgrade), because new Groove engine sounds exactly how I need.

Humanizing midi track

Hello, do you have any ideas on humanizing midi track? Midi plugin "Random" is OK, but it plays different every time.
I would prefer to randomize midi notes in editor, find the best variation and save. Maybe Max for Live will bring such an ability? Thank you for any ideas

Re: Worth running Live Sets from external hard drives...

Maybe it's all right here, I'm talking just in case about harm of vibration  Stand or table, box or a chair - it doesn't mater, just keep it safe from shaking ;-) Maybe your stand absorbs vibrations, than everything is OK, it is just a suggestion according to this: Im always scared im putting ...

Re: Worth running Live Sets from external hard drives...

Just put your laptop on the a simple sheet of foam like this and it will solve you problem, I think: http://www.mymaterial.com.my/foam/images/product_image/polyurethane-acoustical-foam.jpg You don't need expensive acoustic foam, of course, the main point is to get soft material to absorb destructive...

Re: Performing & Switching Between 'Live' Sets

Alternatively you can use two Live applications. I'm not sure about PC, but I've tried this on mac - just make a copy of Live on desktop and run it. Of course, your sets should be very low CPU/HDD, keep in mind, that there will be a moment when two sets will be loaded! And test/practice 100 times yo...

Re: Help with Mixing in Ableton

I know ableton is not the best program to mix/master This is totally pointless proposition. You can do this "magic" with most todays "DAWs"! the bass and especially drums dont seem to be doing the song justice. Looks like your mix needs a little EQ. Spectrum analyzer help...

Lossless 24 bit, 32 bit support and more...

It would be great that Live 7 (and of course 8!) would support 24 and 32 bit (floating point or integer) FLAC and Apple Lossless files. Also, already in wish list, but still missing and very awaited three features, stopped me from upgrading to Live 8: 1. select clips, not only time in arrangement vi...

Re: Exporting Audio doesnt sound right

Render at 32 bit, 88200 or 96000 Hz, (or even 192000 Hz, if all you are shure all your plugins supports such a resolution), because all plugins will be processing in resolution you set here. On the rendered file apply dither, only than convert it to 16 bits 44100, if needed.

It's all about compromises, about one thing yelding place to another thing, just like in life. It's physics, you cant make elephant to go thru little needle hole. Watch, read about Mixing, it will help a lot  And remember - less is more ;-)

Re: shareware for recording Mac internal audio output ?

Audio Hijack is a great tool, it's not free, but it's worth to try. In your situation I would rip sound from DVD using VLC media player. Or "mpeg streamclip".
