I'd like to know even a close date for Live 9 Beta, even a '4th Qt 2011' or something, and some news on what can we expect... honestly this situation it's becoming disappointing, Live rocks but on this side as a user is disappointing the fact of no news, what's coming, etc. (we feel kind of ignored)...

Nope, it's decoded by Live to WAV, and nope you can't specify to stay as mp3... this has been one of the biggest complaints for Ableton as well as mp3 option for render final mixdown.

The best setting for a CD quality sound is MP3 @ 192kbps or higher at 44.1khz at 16bit or higher, with this settings your mp3 will be same original WAV audio file sound quality, and it will be like 5x smaller size.....
