I looked but couldn't find the parameter to make the meter levels anything but green - it may be fixed. I tried the white meters too. There just isn't enough contrast.

I just checked. Looks like you couldn't find the text parameter for the midi editing keyboard either. Try loading a midi clip and view the property panel keyboard to edit notes to see what I mean. The intel transition IS different than the move to the g3, g4 or g5. Each of those cpu's required updated software but nothing like the complete reworking we see now.
