i'm not cleaning up anything. there is not a problem with the samples or any turds present. i am applying a technique. thanks though.

hello. i am hoping to find some tips regarding processing individual frequencies of a sound separately. i have attempted to do this with a chain of band pass filters. the problem i am having is that the sound is affected by the filters. frequencies disappear due to gaps or get a boost due to overlap...

personally i think that learning sound theory/sound design is where to start with products like max/bidule/csound. you can't, for example, build a synthesizer in one of the tools without knowing how a synthesizer works to begin with. this was the trouble i had with these tools when i first started. ...

i would definitely be interested in some sort of microtonal features but i would like to see how ableton chooses to implement this. currently i am using a vst from toybear's midibag to use alternate scales.
