I am trying to set up my live set with a blank template, with all my fx and routings I use, and then load up the songs as I decide to play them, rather then open up a 3.54gig set that is programmed for a certain order. :) None of my individual songs have any song-specific fx, so thats not a problem ...

ahhh.

I had one dummy clip that has no noise at 0db and one that had plently. I will stick to using a non resampled clip from here on out.

I use dummy clips a fair amount in my live sets. Sometimes when I drag a song into a live set I find that it is too quiet compared to what is playing, so I highlight the entire song (all tracks) and raise the relative volume on the song, like I would a gain on a dj mixer for a quietly pressed record...

I think its pretty thick and sweet.

I use it on a send, and have two knobs, one for the gain and one for the base.

Its nice to have for a live set when i have something that needs a bit of beef or just sheer distortion.

What about performance between a FW-410 and a Echo Indigo I/O

I have two soundcards for my laptop, the fw410 and the echo indigo i/o Is there a performance benefit to using one or the other? Lets say that both were identically spec'd is the firewire bus faster than the pci bus. I have a dell inspiron 8600 btw, but i am curious about this generally, not just on...

I like it, but it seems a little glitchy. I have had crashing with it, and it seems to have a fairly beefy amount of cpu consumption.

i think i read, that the synth on rollin/scratchin was from either an ems synthi or a 2600 i have gotten very close to that sound with the 2600 (both real and vst versions). the 303 need to have its top lifted off to get that sound, as the resonance doesnt quite get to self-oscillation also a 101 wo...
