Re: Live 9 browser NIGHTMARE !!!
I'm generally ok with the new browser. It was bothering me that it was a bit slow at start up but 9.02b is waaaaaay faster! Pretty much instant. Much happier now with the new beta.

Re: finally... BITWIG STUDIO! beta 'soon'...
I gotta say, with the addition of racks and macros, bigwig looks to have everything I'd want. Judging by videos lately, I'm betting push will be scripted in no time to do all the same stuff. It was even me ruined that bigwigs browser could be controlled by scripts. I'll probably end up switching eve...

Re: Upgrade RAM on MBP?
Hi, I was considering upgrading the 4gb RAM that I have on my late 2011 MBP to 16gb before I install the 64 bit Live 9. I am currently on the 32 bit Live 8 but am concerned that if I do upgrade I will have to reinstall Komplete 8 which I really can't be bothered with. Or would it be best for me to ...

Re: Automap - Kill me now!
tl;dr I'm guessing this was your thoughts on the automap manual? ;) but as far as I am concerned Automap is from the devil. I bought Nocturn to use as a dj controller, and give it back to the dealer 5 days later. I never want to touch it again. That's funny because I think general midi mapping is f...

Re: Push: Ships in less than a week!
YES! "Less than a week".
I always have to laugh when I go to the main page and see "Live 9 and Push are here. Get yours now." It isn't actually possible to get Push now, especially if you haven't order it yet. Not great wording imo.

Well this came through our business channels and was set up by our IT. But I don't know why they'd remove something like that...
Ok I downloaded the multi-touch driver and it's so much better now. Two finger scroll and gestures even. Sweet.

Re: Suggestions for PC trackpad drivers/apps?
Hey thanks for the advice. I actually just did some more searching about this specific laptop and apprently it's supposed to have multitouch, so perhaps it just didn't come with the driver installed. Strange, I would have thought it should have. The mouse settings affected the pointer speed so I fig...

Suggestions for PC trackpad drivers/apps?
I have a Dell latitude that I use for work and it doesn't have any kind of scrolling with the trackpad. The double-click requires very fast clicks as well regardless of the mouse settings. I was just wondering if anyone knew of any third-party drivers or applications that enhance the trackpad functi...

Re: Live 9 sounds VERY FRESH
People have being putting the 'improved sound' down to improved filters in the reverb device diffusion section and also in the EQ. So it may not be all paintwork your hearing. Where did you hear the reverb was modified in any way with new filtering? I thought that was just EQ. I'm pretty sure every...

Re: Why can't impulse be the default for samples in drum racks?
But the time stretching mixed with the tuning is quite powerful, much more mangling possible there than simpler. And simpler only loads one sample, whereas impulse loads 8 which you can modulate between using pitch and scale devices before it. OR put in the same sample different times and use differ...

Why can't impulse be the default for samples in drum racks?
I tried to save impulse as the the default sample loader for when dragging samples to drum racks but it won't let me. This just stinks because impulse is still the most useful drum sample player, so naturally I want it in Drum Racks.

Re: Got an Ableton Laptop? Get WD Scorpion Black!
Just wondering, what is particularly impressive about the WD Black specs? The 7200 rpm and 16 mb cache? I just ordered a Hitachi Travelstar which is 1TB 7200 rpm and 32mb cache, which will go in my laptop superdrive bay. Seems like it should be smokin fast. I've always had a 5400 rpm drive in my lap...

Re: Granulator II
I don't get why Max for Live developers seem to have no regard for parameter order of the devices or how it would work with control surfaces. Maybe Max people are mouse only people a lot of the time or just midi mappers? Granulators as a page of parameters seemingly randomly organized. Same with th...
