Re: Is there a way to quickly clear the whole arrangement view?
click on a clip. hit ctr+a (on pc) then hit delete. ctr+a is (select all) so this works for anything you select first. for example. select all midi notes, select all tracks, etc.

Re: Why does Live sound so good?
i think that's because you're comparing recorded sounds (via mic) to di sounds (via soft synths). If you have a crap room and crap mics, di stuff will always sound better.

Re: Performing Live
personally i'd say try and play some of the parts yourself. this really adds a lot to the performance in an audience's point of view. twiddling knobs and making adjustments can be visual but not nearly as much as seeing someone playing the notes directly. Re: Hot-Swapping Live
Hot swapping itself doesn't really have any issues. The main thing to look out for is the tiny pops/stutters in audio that sometimes comes when you load a new device. pops/stutters for all the tracks? or just the track that i'm hot swapping in? is it not possible to activate Guitar rig presets usin...

Re: Hot-Swapping Live
I guess I find this question strange. Have you tried hot-swapping? The only issues I have ever had might be when a company of some VST or AU I am using does an update around the same time Live does. But rarely any issues. Just try it. I have tried it. It's been working pretty smoothly so far but al...

Re: Ableton + ?!
i have an apc40. and am planning to buy a mpd32 in the future. If I could start again i'd just get the mpd32. I've seen artists such as Baths and Nosaj Thing perform and their sets have always been much more exciting than any apc40 jam I've seen. I'll probably end up using both apc40 and mpd32 in th...

to add to the above. never assume what the venue will have in terms of gear and PA. always ask beforehand. Made that mistake once. will never do that again.

Thanks.
