Re: Why can't master tempo be controlled by Max For Live device?

This has now been confirmed as a bug by Ableton, so hopefully they'll get a fix out soon(ish).

Re: Why can't master tempo be controlled by Max For Live device?

Changing manually works just fine - tempo is slowing up and down as I slide the tempo up and down with the mouse. I would therefore expect the same kind of behaviour if I modulate the master tempo with a sine curve through the LFO Max For Live object, but this is not so. So, no - this is not the be...

Why can't master tempo be controlled by Max For Live device?

I have mapped "Master tempo" as the destination for the new LFO device in Live 9 (Max For Live device), but it's not working at all. Live seems to slow down to a halt, and even though the master tempo is sort of(!) changing according to the LFO, the master tempo is not reacting as I thought it would...

Re: Moog Sub Phatty - low cost, big features

I like this perspective from Chris Randall @ Analog Industries: http://www.analogindustries.com/blog/entry.php?blogid=1358818532987 "I understand the purpose of the product, of course, because (despite all evidence to the contrary) I'm not a fucking retard. But it'd be nice to see them take a risk o...

Re: Black Friday / Cyber Week Deals.. What did you get?

Izotope Trash 2 for $126.64 (precision is everything).

Normally I am not a big fan of distortion plug-ins, but this one sounds like very little else I've heard, not least because of the convolution reverb and flexible effects module routing. Great stuff.

Re: Audiofile Engineering Triumph - mac editor $60

I already have DSP Quattro - recently picked it up for $50. A bargain, but there are some annoyances. The most annoying thing of all is working with plug-ins, and several of them. Because there is no transport bar, and because "space" (playback start/stop) isn't universal, you have to choose the sam...

Re: Audiofile Engineering Triumph - mac editor $60

Can't use it because of two things: doesn't support VST plug-ins, and doesn't support 32-bit plugins with non-cocoa user interface when running Triumph in 32-bit mode. For me, that represents a lot of plug-ins ... It's looking more and more like Adobe Audition will be the software that picks up the ...

Re: LIVE 8 PERFORMANCE TEST - Results Here

This is for the first Live 9 beta, 32-bit version, released 31. October 2012. So with the same machine, I had 29-30% for Live 8.3 with 5400RPM HD, then 23-24% with Crucial M4 SSD, and now 19-20% with Live 9 beta and Crucial M4 SSD. Not bad. How about the 64bit version... are you going to run tests ...

Re: LIVE 8 PERFORMANCE TEST - Results Here

Notice my post earlier with 5400 HD speeds - SSDs certainly make a difference: 1 ) Ableton Live CPU Meter % - 23-24% 2 ) Laptop/Desktop? Make/Model? - MacBook Pro 13" 2.9GHz non-retina 2012 model 3 ) Operating System? - Mountain Lion (OS X 10.8.2) 4 ) Ableton Live version? Live 8.3.4 5 ) CPU Make, M...

It said "this week" last week, and I guess it's still "this week" this week.

You'll just have to wait, IOW, and check ableton.com regularly.

I emailed Ableton about this, and they linked to this:

... where it says nothing of limited availability.

We shall see.
