Re: Live 8 gets 64bit support.

What happens if some of your plugs are still not 64 bit? That's when Ableton has to give you the bad news: " All 64-bit plug-ins can be used in the 64-bit version. 32-bit plug-ins cannot be used directly in the 64-bit version , but there are third-party tools (such as jBridge) that will allow 32-bi...

Re: Is Ableton dead?

that would make me extremely happy... :) i guessed we'd have to wait for Cycling to make MAX 64-bit before being able to use M4L... I know they've been working on it for a while tho so hopefully it won't be too far behind (I'm guessing this will come with an official support for MAX6 in M4L maybe) ...

Re: Live 8 gets 64bit support.

8.4 could be a paid update. Hope not. Would lead to moaning the likes of which we've never seen before. but Ableton did it before with the 5.2 update (universal binary update after the mac intel switchover). I'm certainly not paying for an update that, for now, is not compatible with MaxForLive, bu...

Re: Is Ableton dead?

i'm only really interested in 1 thing - 64-bit support. Other than that, I'm really happy with Live and it does everything I need. My real fear is that 9 comes out, I have to upgrade to get 64-bit support and then it takes 12 months to get rid of the bugs. Ideal world for me is a last update to Liv...

Re: Live 8 gets 64bit support.

Rekkerd just replied to me on Twitter: "Ableton took the page down, it'll be ready later today so stay tuned :-)"

He seems pretty confident. ;)

Re: Live 8 gets 64bit support.

Nice!

But not so nice: No MaxForLive support as of now, which means I can't/won't install the beta. Oh well.

It takes longer to launch MaxForLive than Max 6 - why?

Title of topic basically says it all: When I activate a MaxForLive device in Ableton Live (8.3.1) for the first time, it takes about 13-14 seconds for it to load. However, loading Max 6 takes about eight seconds (I have a SSD). Why does it take so much longer to launch MaxForLive than it does to lau...

I'm wondering about this, too. Seems the only really new thing is the automatic update function?

Re: Record only selected Session tracks in Arrangement?

That suggestion seems to work fine when I just trigger individual tracks in the Session window, but problems arise when I use scenes in Session view. Seems there is no way to record on just some tracks in Arrangement when using a scene from Session - this will automatically record onto ALL tracks, n...

Record only selected Session tracks in Arrangement?

I am switching back and forth between Arrangement and Session view, and I both have some pre-arranged material in Arrangement, and some scenes ready in Session view. However, I notice that when I record scenes into Arrangement, tracks that already exist at the point where I want to record, is erased...
