Why is the default volume -12dB on a few instruments?

Just wondering why?
And should I set them all to 0dB by default?

Re: THE NEW BIG USER REQUESTS TOPIC FOR LIVE9!!!!

Kind of a weird one but somewhere where you could write notes.
I usually load up a midi track then put a clip in it and as the title of it I will write a little note on it.
Kind of a to do list. Maybe can fold in and out like the help window size.

Re: THE NEW BIG USER REQUESTS TOPIC FOR LIVE9!!!!

here's another one: have a track list window/browser/whathave so that you can hide tracks completely from the session view/arrangement view. working with some 300 tracks and groups and shit gets very tedious, especially on a laptop screen. as much as i like my scrollwheel, sometimes i just want to ...

Just wanna know what sites you ppl use to buy them from?

Re: THE NEW BIG USER REQUESTS TOPIC FOR LIVE9!!!!

The ability for the track to still be played when you select solo even if the track is not activated. I turn off a lot of tracks but its quite annoying when I just want to listen to it in solo if the group is not activated and if the track is not activated. Being able to rename in arrangement mode w...

Re: adding track groups from a set to another set

You may already know this but I think you can open up the set with the group, then cut the group, open the new set and paste it in
Not exactly what you are looking for but it helps a bit.

Re: What's the difference between sample delay and a time delay?

? time delay = measured in milliseconds, seconds, etc. (as Angstrom mentioned above) sample delay = count of samples absolut (at a samplerate of 44.1 kHz one sample has the duration of 1/44100 seconds; at a samplerate of 48 kHz one sample has the duration of 1/48000). > So the important practical d...

Re: What's the difference between sample delay and a time delay?

Ahh ok cos when I watch tutorials and they use Logic they have the "Sample Delay" function in Logic.
Does live have a sample delay function? Or is it just the timed delays?
