Being able to see the groove in real time, not having to commit to it before you see the changes it made.

Re: What are some of the "must have" plugins for producing?

If you don't make this question more specific, you're just going to get a list of every available plugin by the time this thread is done. There are hundreds and hundreds, and of vastly different types / kinds / uses. What do you think you lack / need? One approach considering your broad outlook wou...

What are some of the "must have" plugins for producing?

I am looking at expanding my effect plugins as I have been using all of Live's effects for a while now and thought I would see what else is out there. I currently have the CamelCrusher, Voxengo SPAN and Flux Stereotool (all freeware). What would you ppl recommend as some of the must have/highly rega...

Need help with NI Massive after I did the batch convert

I posted this in the NI Massive forum a few days ago but it's kinda dead over there. My problem is that I just did the batch convert from .ksd to .nmsv after I got the latest update but now all of my presets have doubled but 1 is greyed out and can't be used anyways. Is there an easy way to get rid ...

Does anybody here use Dada Life's "Sausage Fattener"?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jHFzfZl6NQQ

Been thinking about buying it at on $29 seems quite cheap but just wondering what peoples opinions are on it?
And what exactly it does (if I can replicate it in Live)?

Re: Spectrum question

no question.. 'span' is all around better.. you might also want to check out flux stereoTool (like 'utility' on steroids...) http://www.fluxhome.com/products/freewares/stereotool I use them both all the time.. I usually just pan things left and right, but what makes flux stereotool better than just...

I had an 8 bar loop so I switched bars 1-4 with bars 5-8 then just set the start point at bar 5.

Cheers guys :D

Is there a way to stop my end midi notes from being clipped?

I have a hihat loop and at the very end of it I have an open hihat with a long tail but because of where it is I can't stretch it out any longer so it always cuts off the tail when it loops around. Is there a way around this? Or do I just have to make an individual clip for the open hihat or one gre...

Re: Spectrum question

Sweet I just downloaded SPAN and it seems to be doing the job quite well. As for the flux stereotool, I don't really use utility much only to keep stuff in mono but I'll have to check it out. Cheers guys.

Spectrum question

I have a simple 4/4 beat with 1 kick that I am eqing with help of the Spectrum.

Why is it that it doesn't peak in the exact same places everytime?
Seems to change a little with every kick.

Re: What makes EQ plugins better than lives EQ8?

Another question a bit off topic but do you have a certain way of splitting up the frequencies (low, mid and high)? Are you wanting no color (or as little color added as possible) after the frequencies have been split? If you're EQing already and don't mind a little color, then there's really no re...

Re: What makes EQ plugins better than lives EQ8?

What exactly do the terms "transparent" and "colour" mean when referring to EQ? Always hear people saying it but no idea what it means. Some EQs are very good at boosting or cutting frequencies in a way that doesn't add anything else to the signal, they are transparent. Some EQs can make things sou...
