Re: Proposal: Relatively simple fix for a huge problem (browser)

I personally find myself scrolling to death and expanding/collapsing folders to find what I'm looking for. I actually have to look closely at the labels of the folders just to know where I'm at, because it's not possible to memorize a relative positioning of a category in the browser, since it chang...

Proposal: Relatively simple fix for a huge problem (browser)

That Instruments/Effects/Plug-ins/... browser on the left, I guess we all know that it's extremly inefficient . This problem could be solved by allowing drag and drop operations onto the Live interface not only from Windows Explorer, but also as html links to the Instruments/Clips/... from web pages...

OT: asio4all, windows 7, driver, only one application

Hi, I'm posting this here so it get's indexed into google, this is more of a generic issue. If you switched to Windows 7 and find out that your multimedia applications (mp3 player, video player) seem to lock the drivers so that an audio application using an asio driver doesn't output any sound, try ...

More room/stickyness for Instruments+Effects: Popup Dialogs

One of the things that I find pretty annoying is that the instruments and effects in the bottom have a restricted height . By allowing to pop out any instrument or effect into it's own window, like VST(i)'s or M4L devices can do, we would overcome that restriction. An additional positive effect woul...

[toh] Thanks for the good recovery after crashing.

Yesterday I spent about an hour to testing out new stuff with M4L, and while I was having a lot of fun, Live crashed on me, and I was obviously dissapointed. I didn't start it again, I left it there and went on to do some other stuff, thinking that I had lost that set. When I started Live today, it ...

Re: [Share] LemuBarara 1.0 and LemuBaraMod

Congrats, and thanks a lot!!! This Step Sequencer is amazing. I've played with it for 10 minutes now and I'm in love!

I've been missing this kind of stuff in Live for years.

Re: speed of python api vs m4l api

I just had a glimse at your code, and while I'm not exactly sure about the impact it will have on me, I'm very interested. I currently don't have m4l, and won't have it for at least a month or two. Due to the many pyc files in the subdirs, and because 3rd party hardware comes bundled with pyc files ...

Re: speed of python api vs m4l api

wait wait, why are you talking about python api in here. Is there a way to get into live with python? I've come to love python lately, so it would be great if there was a way to get under live's hood by using it. Where can I find some info?

Max for Live - Questions

Is it correct that everybody who has a license for Live 8 can use all the M4L patches that will be avaliable, without buying M4L? -- Is it correct that if you want to build M4L patches, you need to buy M4L at the price of 250€? -- Is ist correct that if you buy M4L, you basically get a Max/MSP versi...

Re: Surround Sound Plug-in for Ableton Live

Live is certainly not optimized for 5.1 mixing Erm... Live doesn't even have 5.1 mixing. It doesn't even have 5.1 busses. It's all stereo (not sure if they even have mono busses). So implementing 5.1 busses is not just about adding 4 more channels. While in a stereo configuration it's quite clear t...

Re: Latest Live 8 bugfix update is online: Live 8.0.8!

I find 8.0.5 to be so much better than 7. Actually I must say that I'm really impressed with Ableton's bug-fixing attitude. I see no other company which pushes new versions out this fast, and is interested in getting as much feedback about bugs as possible. Most companies hide behind a "firewall" of...

Re: MIDI Notes Stuck Keys Problem

I'm also having an issue with stuck notes. I'm not sure how to go about it, since it can't be told for sure that this is an ableton live issue. I have a Kore2 controller as the MIDI Interface. The Keyboard (AN1x) is ok, the problem doesn't come from there. I'm not sure if it is the Kore2 controller ...
