I didn't want go into the hardware vs. software debate... I wanted the 303 (and still do) for the same reason guys in their 40's still collect baseball cards, or comics... it's owning a piece of electronic music history (with a pratical bonus too... you can still use it to create music) The money is...

Thanks for everyone's input... After going to take a good hard look at the 303 in person I decided to pass on this particular one. It had some visible battle scars... a couple of the knobs didn't seem to turn correctly (almsot like they were super-glued back onto the unit at some point)... plus unli...

OT: How much is too much for a TB 303?

I am in the postion to purchase a TB 303... it is quite pricey... however, it is in very good condition. The asking price is $1,100 (but I think I can knock it down a couple of dollars). It's always been a fantasy of mine to own one... but I did a search on the forum and found a post that said once ...

You're correct... Pardon the typo.

No one in the US needs to own a gun... nor do I think they should. I live in a much more dangerous area then the US... and I don't own a gun (but I have an armed guard outside my condo 24 hours a day)

I must be an "immature half man"

Why don't some of you guys from the EU and the US come down here and kick it in the 3rd World... where kiddnappings & home invasions are commonplace... and tell me that only the police should carry guns... That being said... the US is a very safe place and one should have to carry a gun there (IMO)...

I've all but given up... actually I purchased an M-Audio Project Mix so now I can't even run Pro Tools LE... Was thinking about purchasing the M-Powered version of Pro Tools... but I've had such a horrible experience with Digidesign... that I don't know if I am willing to spend another $300 or so......

If everyone is so serious about there music... according to most people’s tags I see well over $1,000 in additional VST's, software, and hardware regularly. And this is such a problem... why not get a more powerful computer? You can say that isn't the answer... but for me it is. If I was as frustrat...

I never really experienced any sort of problem (or at least to the extent other's have) like the one's discussed in that thread. My specs are: Dual Xeon CPU 3.00Ghz 2GB of RAM, Windows XP 80 Gig 10k Hardrive Windows Service Pack 2 M-Box However, I feel your pain. I used to do a lot of work in Pro-To...

What are your computer specs... because I the processing times you talk about... seem pretty bizarre... just copying clips and bouncing down tracks takes you an hour (or more)?

I have had the same problem (and still do). There are some work arounds. 1. The quality of the record. Most of my older records (2 or more years old) are not in the same condition they were when I first bought them (especially the ones from 5+ years when I really didn’t take good care of my stuff). ...

HELP... Live & Pro Tools 7 is crashing my Computer

I never post... most of my questions are asked (and answered) by fellow posters... however I have a real dilemma... and am in need of some help. I have a relatively strong computer: Dual (I know Ableton doesn't support dual processors) Xeon CPU 3.00Ghz, 2GB of RAM, Windows XP, Windows Service Pack 2...

Long time lurker… first time poster. Look, I am constantly reading this forum, and every couple of days there is a post about THE ideal controller… When will it come out… Why can’t they get it right… IMO there will never be an ideal controller that suits everyone’s needs. Each person uses software/h...
