Re: KMI QuNexus - Full Review

Nice! I really hope some M4L wizards will come up with a few interesting ways of using it. Would be too great for on the road. Probably have to order a QuNexus just for the possibility of that happening.

Re: KMI QuNexus - Full Review

Thanks for the review. This looks really nice. Since the pads light up, I hope there will be some M4L plugs that make use of it. Like a step sequencer. It's only 15 pads in a row but maybe you just show 1/2 row with 8 pads at a time and use the rest for navigation. This would make it even more usefu...

Re: Poor PUSH

Not trying to stir things up, but those that sing Push's praises the strongest, seem to be consistently those who have not experienced the Maschine workflow. Just an observation, thats all. (for what its worth, as a DAW, Maschine is a joke - but for getting ideas down quick in a hands-on manner, I ...

Re: Poor PUSH

I think push is incredible. Never had so much fun with Ableton before. I come from mainly using hardware gear and this is the first time that a computer comes close to that workflow. Granted, I spent a lot of time preparing and setting up my standard live set so it perfectly compliments push. And I ...

Link pads to instrument when changing tracks???

Hey guys, I posted this as a feature request a few months ago. Since I got no feedback I was hoping there was another solution to this, maybe via M4L: Basically I want to link the pads of push to an instrument, so when I change a track I can still play that Instrument but control fx on another track...

Re: 2008 MPB to new iMac. Hardly any difference? (solved)

Thanks for the tips everyone. I can't tell you exactly what it was but the problem seems to be solved. I re-installed all the drivers and software of my interface and also took care of some plugins that seemed to have a few license problems after the system switch. Now everything works as it should ...

Re: Moved from 2008 MPB to new iMac. Hardly any difference????

Thanks for the help/info, guys!
I'm at work right now but will fiddle with this a little more when I get home.
Probably I'm missing something obvious. I wasn't aware of how the CPU meter actually works so that might explain a few things.

BTW
My audio interface is a MOTU 828 MK2 Firewire.

Cheers

2008 MPB to new iMac. Hardly any difference? (solved)

Hey guys, so I can't wrap my head around this: I just moved from a 2008 MPB (2,53ghz Core2Duo) to a new iMac (3,4ghz i7 quad). But there doesn't seem to be that big of a performance increase. I transferred the whole data with the migration assistant from a time machine backup. Now Ableton starts way...

Push - Link pads to instrument.

As with any controller, you can link Push's encoders to a specific device so when you change tracks you can still control that device. It would be great if would also work the other way around and you could link the pads to certain instruments. This way you could keep playing an instrument while you...

Navigate through scenes without launching them.

Another question for you guys. Hope this hasn't been asked before or is too obvious: Is there a way to move through scenes without launching them? I get why it is programmed like this but I still would like to be able to change that behaviour. Thanks Edit: I'm talking about device/instruments mode o...

Bugs when editing sequencer steps.

Hi, there seem to be some bugs when editing individual steps of the drum sequencer. When nudging or changing the velcity, the values are displayed very seldomly. Mostly it shows nothing. And when I edit a step and then come back to it to nudge it further/less, the previously set value isn't displaye...

Can't find folder for user remote scripts. (live 9)

Hey guys, I'm desperately trying to make some remote scripts but can't find the folder to drop them in. Back on Live 6 and 7, I did this all the time but now it seems to have vanished. Haven't used Live for a while, though and am on OSX 10.8.2. In "library > preferences" there is no folder named "ab...
