Re: Question about Audacity.
How about Live Intro? Warping should be possible with Intro, I guess? I'm a little worried about the system requirements if she was to use Intro. I forgot to mention that. She's on my old Powerbook G4 that I gave her. 10.4.11, 512 MB RAM, not sure the processor. So Intro, would be cutting it pretty...

Re: Question about Audacity.
Audacity is a good editor and it will do all those things. It might not be as easy as more expensive programs. So at some point, the time required to prepare tracks might make something more expensive start looking appealing. That's what I was a little afraid of. Looking at the site, I thought, "ye...

Question about Audacity.
This is completely unrelated to Live but I'm asking it here because you guys rule at answering questions and knowing stuff. I have a friend who is a dance team coach. She is looking for a program to use for cutting songs, editing tempo and connecting them. She's obviously not looking to spend much m...

Re: Can I create subfolders within my plug-in folders?
Cool, thanks. Any one have any thoughts on this one: Also, if I have the option where I have an AU and a VST of a particular plug-in (all the Native Instuments plug-ins for example) is one preferable to the other? I tried doing a forum search for "AU vs. VST" and I'm sure you can guess how that turn...

Re: Can I create subfolders within my plug-in folders?
Also, I just thought of this. If that folder thing worked, I could probably organize them however I wanted couldn't I? i.e., "Synths", "Effects" or whatever. Just thinking out loud here.

Can I create subfolders within my plug-in folders?
Possibly a stupid question, not sure. My AUs are all organized into folders by the company that makes them (this happened automatically when I installed them) but my VSTs are a mess. Example: my NI plug-ins from Komplete 6 are all in a subfolder in the Audio Units folder in the Live browser called "...

Re: Does anybody here Use Maschine and Live Exclusively ?
hehe... ok. I created a project file which sends midi notes out from each pad.... each group (A-F in my template) works like a different page (i guess that's how i'd describe it) which correspond to the 16 pads on drum maps. So, if you want to go up or down the drum racks pads, you select which pag...

Re: Does anybody here Use Maschine and Live Exclusively ?
yeah, i use his template too. It's good. But by assigning all the pads to midi outs, then you can use Maschine's other features, like step sequencer, swing etc... give us the rundown am, come clean talk to a brotha, confess your maschine crimes my son, git'er done, pretend that we are the world and...

I knew I was missing something obvious.re.mark wrote:If youve not got the sequencer playing so its sending beat information to massive, you need to deselect the 'pos' button on all Rate synced LFOs.

What am I doing wrong with Massive?
Alright. So I'm thinking about getting Kore 2 and I was going through the Kore pages watching some videos. I came across this one: http://kore.noisepages.com/2008/09/08/mutating-sequences-live-with-massive-in-kore/ In it, the dude messes with a patch called "City Groove." I was like, hmm, that's kin...

Re: 3 Questions (Field Recorders-Arrangement View-Copying Clips)
3) I would just highlight all the effects, right click, choose GROUP. Now it's one rack and can be turned off with one button. I think you can also highlight the Battery instance and right-click and choose COPY and paste into your new track. Thanks a lot. That would pretty much do the trick for wha...

3 Questions (Field Recorders-Arrangement View-Copying Clips)
Sorry for the vague thread title but I felt bad starting 3 separate threads. They're kind of unrelated questions too but anyway... 1) Are those field recorders worth a shit for recording sounds that would eventually be used as samples? Example: recording samples of my drums at my other band's rehear...

Re: Maschine + Live = ?
I almost started this exact same thread. I need to get some pads and was thinking PadKontrol but I had loads of fun playing with Maschine at GC a while back and thought maybe I should go that route. That way, I've got my pads plus a world of other stuff. I've got a bunch of records ending on ebay on...
