Ok i've added a port map to midi yoke, and i've also set up data mapping such that channel 1 from the device is coming out as channel 2 from midi yoke-live doesn't care if the devices are different, it does if they are all occupying the same channel though.

Thanks for the quick reply clearscreen. D-oh, i guess I don't search very efficiently without sleep...! I've got midi yoke installed, was using it lots with live 4 as it was limited to 2 remote controls. I used it in conjuntion with midi-ox. I'm essentially splitting the output of the midi device in...

ooo i think i have a solution. Temporarily changing the channel output of the knob, assign it to the other parameter in live. Then using bome's, create a new translator definition, midi in as the original knob channel/cc, midi out as the "other" knob channel/cc. The result *should* be live respondin...

Having used both the 624's with the sub in a studio, and also working with 824's in another, I decided to buy the 824's for myself. It could be very possible the monitoring room with the 624's n sub wasn't ideally acoustically treated, but I just felt the low mids were much more precise on the 824's...

2 eq parameters controlled with 1 knob (x-session)

Hi, how are you all? I've done a search about this but came up with nothing. What I would like to do is basically assign 2 functions (namely band 1 gain and band 2 gain) to one knob. I want them to "move in the same direction" so to speak, the only different setting to be made would be the min/max v...

I generally go for matching with the tone of the track, sub dominant or the dominant, or something disonant or detuned in nature if it calls for it. If you're having a hard time finding the "note" of the snare, what you could do is find the frequency in it that rings the most with tone. Get a parame...

If there is a weird sound on it and it is mechanical, and under no circumstances can you afford to loose what is on there, I wouldn't even power it up again and have it looked at by a professional. I mean, if the sound is coming from the magnetic pickup, God forbid, say you power it up and it litera...

Hi Linzatti, thanks for the reply! I just got a reply from www.totis.co.uk I've been quoted £226.44 (incl Vat) for the 2.0Ghz Dothan, £45 for fitting the cpu, and £10 + Vat to return it back to me. Does this sound reasonable to you? Or should I just "live" with my 1.6 for the next year or so? I'm re...

oh yeah! Read about this on these forums some time ago. :) Just wanted to check, does this function on a driver level? i.e. will it muck around with keyboard settings on a global scale, and is it easy to enable/disable on the fly?
