yesterday i bought my first drum machine an elektron machinedrum on ebay to get a workhorse for analog drums. i want to learn drum synthesis and i hope it will be worth.

now im taking keyboard lessons since 10 month and thats what me really helps. it´s not enough to read it, you need practice to feel it, hear it and get comfortable / creative with it. i think i need one more year but it´s worth :D I wonder what percentage of people making music (creating melodies, ...

i can´t find the tutorial now but you can select a time range in arrangement view -> right click -> time to new scene or something like that. select different sections like intro, break, verse, chorus etc. or use maybe 8 or 16 bar chunks (personal preferences).

which options do you activate when you use collect all & save?

i have the same problem but ableton confirmed a drum rack performance bug which causes glitches etc.
atm i prefer to use drum racks without chains ;/

i need also the "disable unused chains" trick

i often have this problem :/ live shows me that some samples are missing and i need to "search in projekt". i don´t know why live doesn´t recognize the samples which are inside this project automatically.

thats why he should use instant mapping/user remote script or the built in remote scripts. midi mapping is so crap because when i change a few functions in the future or im using an older project i must map again. i hate that ^^

try to deactivate "options -> reduce monitoring latency" (not in the preferences)
