Re: Anyone having problem with this new 9.7.2?

Does this seem to be a necessary update? Most of the time it's a certain controller support.

I think auto update only worked once for me with Live 9. I download them and archive them anyway.

Re: How to choose a key when you compose a song ?

I usually stay away from B, F# (Gb) C# (Db). These are not practical keys.

Re: orchestral sounds in live

I think those are the old Sonic Implants libraries. Orchestra libraries have evolved since then. If you have VSL they are superior to any bundled library for a specific DAW. The Samplitude line has the old Yellow Tools library which is inferior to any 3rd party library. What in Live is more suited t...

Re: compression

was wondering is there nowadays any difference between different mp3 encoders? i remember LAME used to be golden word like 15 years ago, what about today? and how come i remember hearing a big difference between 128 and 192kbps 15 years ago and now soundcloud streaming (128kbps) sounds more or less...

Re: Second Live 9 authorization + Push 2 on my father's laptop

Hi, I was about to use my old laptop as my second pc for Live 9 Suite and Push 2 but it sadly doesn't meet the minimum Live 9 + Push 2 system requirements anymore. Now my father's one is much more capable machine and he is willing to trade but it is registered to his name and I believe the OS it ru...

Re: Is Live9/64 ready for prime time ?

No problems but I did a W7 to 10 upgrade. No fresh install. There are some licensing files in Live. I did a fresh install two years ago with W7 and added those licensing files. They might be in app data.

Re: Studio One

To me it's like apples and oranges. I like Live's session view for messing around. As for Studio One it is an app that seems to transition easy from using other DAWs. Neither one is as easy using MIDI compared to FL Studio. It just has better real estate for editing midi. Also in Live reaping loops ...

Re: WHY ABLETON - IF SUPPORT SUCKS

After upgrading systems I've had Live say something to the effect of too many authorizations and there was a pop up where you would send them the reason why and you were activated. I don't know if this is the case with Live 9.

Re: AMD Ryzen 1700 vs. i5 7500 / i7 7700k and music production

Wait till it matures. For audio it is not as good as Intel. More cores are not always better unless you work in video. So far Ryzen is impressive for video rendering. Running low latency audio is not there yet.

Re: Beat Tools - New Pack for Suite and Push owners

I'm just always a bit puzzled about this whole "beatmaking", as if "beat" is a self-contained subgenre of music and they had to invent a special word for the making of it. Is there anyone just making beats? Like, no other instruments? Or when you're done "beatmaking" do you then start "bassmaking" ...

So, 512 samples? My guess is you are not using proper ASIO drivers.
I don't believe this.

See the notes for the beta and see if those issues are addressed. You could also try the beta.

That's odd. Would Steinberg have all of that info?
