Re: Post your set up and your sexy cat...

Or someone at Ableton could take about 2 minutes to add 2 lines of css to the boards stylesheet.

Code: Select all

img {
    max-width: 100%;
    height: auto;
}
...is all it would take, but yeah, it's been like this for like 14 years now.

Recording straight to audio with Push?

I picked up a gen 1 Push from eBay and I'm digging it. I just recorded a jam but the end result didn't quite go the way I expected it to. I've got 8 tracks loaded with various stuff, there's three Reaktor synths being sequenced by 2 Spiral sequencers, one Reaktor groove box, and an audio track with ...

Re: Do you use a streaming music service? Which and why?

Apple Music here as well. I mainly use it to stream my own personal collection via my phone when at work or in the car, the only other two places I ever seem to be. I don't do much looking for new stuff with Apple music. I think it's mostly a good value for the money. For new stuff / online radio So...

Re: Learning how to write the music I love

Hey man, I can relate as I've got a similar story. I had a little bit of a breakthrough when I bought my Volcas. I think they've been so inspiring to me because they are such simple little machines. For a little while there I had the original Volca trio (beats, bass, keys) and a BeatStep pro. Eventu...

Re: TouchABLE 3

I haven't used mine for a few months but I just double checked it and it connected okay. I use it connected via USB. It's a pretty slick app if you can get it to work but, like others, I've found the support from the developer(s) to be pretty much non-existent. When I started using it again I upgrad...

My Ikea hack music table. It's bar height, so I can stand or sit on the stool. Monitor placement sucks, but we don't have a ton of space and this has been working for me. https://jsmutek.files.wordpress.com/2016/06/stuff-7.jpg https://jsmutek.files.wordpress.com/2016/06/stuff-5.jpg https://jsmutek.f...

Re: Best App to control ableton live

The only thing that bugs me on touchable is that it does So much it is hard to decide which screen you want up at any given moment. Yeah man, that's for sure, Basically anything you can access in Live, you can access in Touchable. I get along best with Touchable when I have a relatively narrow set ...

Re: Best App to control ableton live

Touchable is really great. I feel like I've had it forever, and I used to get annoyed by the interface, which I considered extremely unintuitive. Then, I took the time to watch the video tutorials and was like, oh, wow. It's a really deep app and offers control over pretty much everything in Live. T...

Re: Small analog mixer that doesn't affect sound

I just bought a second hand Mackie 1202 VLZ Pro and am digging it. 4 mono inputs with inserts, 4 stereo inputs, 2 aux send receives (mono out, stereo in). It's an older mixer but really nice and built like a tank. You can probably find one for cheap if you look around, I paid $150 for mine. I don't ...

Re: mixer?

I've been researching a similar setup myself. Currently I'm doing something similar to Hungry_Man, using hardware instruments and Ableton for some effects, mixing, and as a master clock source. I just got a Lexicon MX200, so the last recording I made I only used 1 Ableton effect. I'm running Touchab...
