Drum Rack black square with Launchpad

Hi all

Is it me, or does Ableton Live not autoselect whichever drums is visible in the black square in Drum Racks, and matches it to the User 1 mode on the Launchpad? If yes – any of you have a solution to that problem (I see it as a problem at least)?

Re: How does my kick, bass and perch sit in this mix?

Oh, another thing, if I haven't tired you all out yet. As a budding producer, I strive to give my tracks the same "polish and finish" as established producers work, if you know what I mean. How far am I with this track in you peoples eyes? I've listened to it way too many times now to have an opinio...

Re: How does my kick, bass and perch sit in this mix?

I'm no expert, but I say the bottom end is pretty good. Maybe a little compression to keep the extra volume under control in the 100 Hz zone ( when the bass plays the G note ). I would bring down the H/Hats a little. They stick out of the mix quite a bit too much around 6Khz. Nice on Sibanger! As i...

Re: How does my kick, bass and perch sit in this mix?

Nice, thanks! I had to EQ the kick heavily, and then remove some of the bass hits that played the same time as the kick, so had some doubts. It's a relieve to know it isn't all bad :-)

How does my kick, bass and perch sit in this mix?

Hello my fellow deephousers Need a bit of advice about this track I am making. I am training my mixing skills. And I am trying to get the bass, kick and percussion (mostly bongos and congas) on this track to sit nicely together. Can any of you more experienced guys listen for a bit and throw me some...

How to reset default status of Live devices?

Hi all Does anyone know how to restore the default settings of devices in Live? For instance, I made a specific Drum Rack, then right-clicked on the Title Bar and clicked Save as Default Preset. Now I would like the default preset to be what Live provided at install point. Any help to find in here? ...

Shit, I'm sorry guys. You are completely right - the Sel tab is exactly what I wanted. Feeling kinda stupid for having missed that.

Thanks a lot for the tip!

Re: Can I switch samples on the fly in a Sampler instrument?

Yes, I know. But I want the samples to trigger throughout the entire keyboard range. I just only want one of them to do it at the time, and then be able to scroll between which sample is currently unmuted.

Switch samples on the fly in a Sampler instrument? (SOLVED)

Hi all I am using this particular Sampler instrument. My instrument has 7 samples in them, but I only wanna play one of them at the time. Is it possible to assign a midi control somewhere in the Sampler, so it will change between the samples played back? That way, I won't have to manually mute and u...

Re: Post your most obscure Ableton Live knowledge

If playing clips from different scenes in Session Mode, you can consolidate them into one new scene by pressing Cmd + Shift + i.

Useful when trying to arrange your clips into sensible scenes.

Don't know if it's obscure though – but helpful nonetheless :-)
