Re: Deep kick

I would say EQ and Compression are your best mates in this matter. And a solid 808 sample to begin with.

Another Automap question regarding MIDI channels

Hi all It seems that Automap uses different MIDI channels across its groups (User, FX, Inst and Mixer). I would like MIDI channel 1 to spam the entire range, so no matter which group I am in (User, FX, Inst or Mixer), I will be sending messages out on MIDI channel 1. Does anyone in here know how to ...

Re: Novation Ultranova - Automap and Ableton

That helped a lot, thank you! A combination of Automaps MIDI capabilities and Ableton's midi remote scripts gave me all the control I wanted. Thanks again man!

Best gig bag for the Novation Nocturn 49 keyboard

Hey

Just bought this keyboard, and would now like a bag in which I can lug it around with my laptop, and maybe my Launchpad. I've been looking at the Silver Novation bag - anyone know this bag?

Does anyone have any other recommendations?

Re: Novation Ultranova - Automap and Ableton

Hi Eddie Yes, I set it up like it said in the software setup guide. Do you mean to say that there is a way to make the Mixer button under the Automap section on the Ultranova synthesizer to control the volume/pan/send/whatever of Ableton? I mean automapped that is - like it automaps the encoders to ...

Re: Release date of Akai MAX49?

Alright, thanks.

I don't live in the States, so don't know much about Guitar Center – but is that usually a reliable source?

Novation Ultranova - Automap and Ableton

Hey all Ok, so I got the Novation Ultranova synthesizer. Questions about Automap, that hopefully someone can help me answer: When in User mode, I can control the macro controls of a current device (as long as I activate it myself by clicking the titlebar of the device). I'm not sure what the FX and ...

Re: Creating warm keys similar to rhode

You can create that sound quite easily with Operator or Analog synth. Use a sinewave or two as your base, maybe detune a little, put on some vibrato, warm up a bit with Saturator and add a little reverb. Bom.

Re: When you were starting out?

I'd say if you are a keyboard player, you should invest in a midi keyboard first. Maybe look into the M-Audio Axiom line, as they are good and budget friendly. I myself am a pianist, and playing the keys is such a integral way for me to compose, that I really can't be without it. I own the Launchpad...

Re: How do I get this stutter/random effect on my pads?

Thanks anyways for the reply! It would be wonderful if I could do it with the built-in effects though, which I am sure is possible. Just not sure how :-) But if all else fails, I'll definitely look into the Alligator thing :-)

How do I get this stutter/random effect on my pads?

Hi

Check out the beginning of this Mike Sheridan track: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5TVaLD-gThU

I've heard that stuttery effect he has on his pads before. I have no idea how he does it. Does anyone know how I can achieve that in Ableton using built-in effects?

Re: A few questions about the M-Audio Axiom 2nd gen

Yes, thats true. I know about the pickup mode. The thing with that is just that I would have to turn the knob some before it would reach the pickup point and interact with the software knob, which is less that ideal. I am really just trying to figure out what keyboard to buy, which would give me the...

A few questions about the M-Audio Axiom 2nd gen

Hi all Hopefully somebody will be able to help me out here. It is regarding the rotary encoders on the Axiom. First of all, are they endless? Second of all, if I am on one track, and have the macro controls of an instrument on certain values, then jump to another track, rotate the encoders, and move...
