Re: Best free dubstep Ableton live packs?
personally, dubstep does my head in.
probably one of the most boring music genres there is.
slowed down breakbeat and a synth with lfo
(yawn)
breakbeats were played with MUCH better in the early 90s

Re: Please help me replicate this lead synth
It's kinda like an old classic "rave" synth. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dohzrXT09w but at a higher pitch. I don't know about Maschine and I can't think of an Ableton preset that will give you that sound but I know that Vanguard VST has some similar sounds and classic "rave" ...

Re: touchable v hardware midi controllers
Aye, ipads will never replace hardware completely as people DO like getting their hands on knobs and sliders. Having said that, there are joysticks you can get to sucker to your ipad screen to play some games so we might end up seeing knobs and sliders that do the same. You could have say a handful ...

Re: touchable v hardware midi controllers
No probs and cheers for the vote. I've teased with the thought of getting another ipad too like michaeladam for an ultra portable setup. In my head it's either another ipad or maschine mikro (or maybe the M1). Yeah launchpad isnt anything special. I used to have two so i could have an 8x16 grid to c...

Re: touchable v hardware midi controllers
Grooverb I've had a LOT of controllers over the years in an attempt to get a setup that suited me both in the studio and for playing gigs. Now though my setup for gigs is: - 12" laptop - Cakewalk UA-25EX Soundcard I am planning on getting a smaller one for gigging as when gigging I don't need m...

Re: touchable v hardware midi controllers
I thoroughly endorse TouchAble too. It gives awesome control over ableton and they are adding more stuff for free all the time. One thing it does lack is a clip editor. Liine's "Griid" has that and the clip/scene launchers too but now keyboard/drumpads/effects or parameters control - or th...

Re: Korg Legacy Woes
Ive got KLC and running on 64bit with latest Live 8 and haven't had any problems. I got this new laptop a few months back so have only recently installed everything. Admitedly the installer I used was very old from when I originally got it I think. The VST I have problems with it Predator. It shows ...

Re: Memory for iPad2
I got the 16gb and still haven't filled up. I find that there's really only a certain amount of apps that are applicable to anyone, and although you would want to try out a lot of apps, there's really only a select few that you would want to keep and make use of and the rest just get deleted. I can...
