Re: Anyone here use Reason with Live?

Thanks for the replies, did a not so aggressive (got lucky with the filters) YouTube search, found this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EkQcGir4-o4 Shows basic setup, and use of the External Instrument device in Live, which I've never used. Looks all good, the device can send MIDI and get ret...

Anyone here use Reason with Live?

I've kind of had my eye on Reason for a while, and though I don't anticipate indulging myself anytime soon, I sort of had it in mind as a de facto VST plug-in through Rewire. I've done a little bit of Rewiring with Logic Pro, but that's a one way street into Logic. Just curious what people's thought...

Re: NI Polyplex

You can download a demo of it. From the looks of it though, seems like you could put some drum racks inside an instrument rack to the same effect.

Re: Using a computer keyboard to launch clips

External USB keyboard, now that would be the poor man's Push.

Interesting idea though, because you could really customize it, even little things like labelling the keys.

Using a computer keyboard to launch clips

I have no idea why this didn't occur to me before. I'm still relatively new to Live, and while I always knew you could assign functions to the computer keyboard and I even use qwerty for note entry, it just never dawned on me to use it to launch clips. It's sort of a poor man's push in a ways. Some ...

Re: Macbook Pro issues with Ableton

try recording audio tracks from the instruments, then deleting some of the instrument tracks. There's any advantage to recording as opposed to freeze/flatten? Same difference, as far as I know, I'm just used to working that way. As for the original problem, seems a bit unusual that those specs are ...

Re: Macbook Pro issues with Ableton

I have similar specs, only thing different is i7 with 16 GB RAM, and it handles things easily. Though I must admit I don't push things. 9 virtual instruments? Are they VST plug-ins? That could be it. Maybe try recording audio tracks from the instruments, then deleting some of the instrument tracks. ...

This thing looks pretty hefty, not just some run of the mill effort.

Under effects it list VST modules, so you can load VSTs? 8O

Re: OSCiLLOT

Yes click on oscillot on top. http://maxforcats.com/category/oscillot/ Just bought this. It's cpu hungry and seems based off beap but it's quite well made! Love it! On the website under the oscillator section, there's an extra osc called formant generator which doesn't seem to be included in the al...

Re: OSCiLLOT

Is there a list of all the modules somewhere? I know there's help in the device itself, and the promo video does a really quick glance at the drop down menus, but I'd like to know more details without having to buy it first.
