Re: Focusrite Scarlett on Windows 10 - working OK?
The Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 has a known clipping problem with the instrument inputs every unit out there has this problem. The only fix is to use a D.I. box or sell it for something else. I traded mine in for Saffire pro 14 Im not very happy with this interface either mainly because its firewire.... ...

Re: Some questions about upgrading(Ram,SSD) Reseting mac mini
Yes everything will load faster with an ssd.. No more waiting and waiting. Your computer will turn on and shut down faster and everything becomes a lot more responsive. With 8 gigs of ram, ram will only make a difference when using large samples/ sample libraries or if you are using on board graphic...

Re: Ableton Live 9 reacts slow
Do you mean that Live is slow when moving things around in Arrange view or session view? Live has always been sluggish in arrange view when moving/highlighting large amounts of data while zoomed in at certain levels. This is a bug or a feature that they have to be aware of since it has been around f...

Re: So, who's ready for Windows 10?
Then there is the way Windows updates..It does not update in the background. You wake up one day to turn your computer on and realize that you just need to "sit back and relax a while" while windows updates. This makes it unusable in a business setting. This is also how the Xbox One updat...

Re: Alchemy now part of Logic Pro X
I did mess with it for few more hours after my post and I now understand how to program it. I was meaning that the korg m1 sounds like most of the sounds I get out of spectral synthesis. I understand that the korg m1 is a rompler or sample based synth and spectral synthesis is something different. S...

Re: Alchemy now part of Logic Pro X
:x This synth is irritatingly complex. Usually I can figure out a synth in less than an hour without tutorials. This is nuts. I can see I will need the manual for this. hmmm. HMMMMM... My current thoughts: What can this synth do that can't be done with a combination of live and logic? I already have...

Re: Why is there not any soap in the west?
on the soap thing... i think it's two factors 1. not providing soap saves $$ 2. not providing soap means the waste water is all natural, not all soapy 2. Was my thought also, but I couldn't find any info on the internet to back those thoughts up. It makes sense in a place that needs to conserve as ...

Re: So, who's ready for Windows 10?
And to be honest - Windows 10 is quite underwhelming so far.. This is my experience with windows 10 as well. I have been using it off on as an "insider  " and I was really surprised they released it in its current state. I still consider it to be a beta. I was running it on two comp...

Re: Alchemy now part of Logic Pro X
After you update make sure to go to install additional content from the Logic Pro X menu. It will install 14GB more content for Alchemy. In the process I discovered I was missing about 47GB of content from Logic. 8O My main drive is a 256 gb ssd. I was thinking about doing the dvd drive mod and add...

Re: Why is there not any soap in the west?
At least you don't have to pay to use the public restrooms like you do here in Europe, I'm still getting used to that. Assuming you can find any that is, not very many in places like parks and the like. I think most people here would protest by just pissing in the street or the woods. I have never ...

Why is there not any soap in the west?
Every public restroom I have used in the west from the bottom of Nevada - Yosemite there is no soap in ANY public restroom.
No public parks in Nevada have soap and none in California.
Whats the deal here?

Focusrite will replace your clipping 2i2
If you bought a focusrite 2i2 in the last year and are experiencing the well known clipping of the instrument signal they will send you a new one if you chat with support. They will even pay for shipping. If you are considering buying one used I suggest that you don't. Focusrite seem to only be repl...

Re: Does weed help you in the studio?
Listening to music while smoking weed is different though. I usually read really deep into the lyrics and some times find it too much to handle. I was listening to a forum members band on youtube and I really got the lyrics... they were very depressing and deep about a relationship and drugs, but I...
