Re: Manchester/Leeds, UK?
Hey, you criticize my town, I'll whup you upside the head ! Oi, I live here too you know!! And the way I see it you've got All Bar one and the like which are full of suits shouting, "SELL SELL SELL" and the main streets which are full of twatty stag and hen dos. The underground clubs are ...

Re: FREEZE - would be good if this saved RAM as well as CPU....
Freeze and flatten is one of the most awesome things in Live!! Yeah, I've done a pad part and I want to chop up bits of it. Freeze and flatten, there you go, do what you like with it. Save a few versions of each track as a workround. Save one before a flatten. Flatten then save to a different file. ...

Re: Manchester/Leeds, UK?
Leeds fell on its arse a few years back and turned into a shithole for stag and hen dos. The city centre is full of squealing girls with pink deely boppers and idiot rugby players. The music scene, be it electronic/rock/alternative is dead in this city now even though it was thriving as little as 5 ...

Yeah..
Never really got into Reaktor, there seems to be a conspiracy to ensure people have no bloody knowledge about the thing, whereas there's loads of resources on the web for Max.
Plus they've never updated the GUI in Reaktor so it looks like crap in comparison and is nowhere near as intuitive.

Re: Max For Live as an ultimate sound design tool...
Max seems more logic/maths where Reaktor seems to me to be more electronics.

Weeeelll...
I'd say Reaktor is more sound design oriented than MAX, While sound design is unquestionably a part of it, Max has loads more sequencing and modulation options.
Horses for courses... Try the demo I guess.

Recording the midi output of your device to live...
Hi.. I'm still new to this and have more questions than a small child on caffiene at the zoo! I have created a generative patch which throws midi notes out into live controlling, say, a piano. Is there a way of getting live to record these midi events so they become static? I've tried the obvious of...

Tempo...
Is it possible to use max to control tempo, so you can use the likes of line objects etc to create a dynamic tempo?
I know it sounds like a weird thing to want but, you know.

Re: Max License
To my understanding things like the video devices will stop displaying in the max window and max will not have its own audio engine.
ie: you will still be able to use max within live but not as a standalone application for audio

I'd be interested in this too, being from Leeds. Are they likely to be in work hours or out of work hours?
