Question: how to improvise on allready recorded midi notes

Lets say i've placed a Simpler on a midi channel. I've recorded some midi notes in a clip. Then i listen to it for a while and decide to record another clip with a little variation BUT i also wish to hear te first recorded clip. Is the only way to bounce the audio to another channel ? but when i cut the track into pieces and move one piece, the result will be that a tiny piece of silence will be there at the end of the moved piece. That is not a solution i think.

Is it impossible to move tracks (wich are 60 minutes long) very precise ?

i've looked around for what a shuttle pro was. i've found it and i've noticed the jog wheel. i am also familiar with the midi-trigger assign and the keyboard -trigger assign functions. But is it possible to move tracks in the arrangement with a jogwheel ? if so, i would really like to know how. Mayb...

yeah i see what you mean, i have a same kinda problem, I would like to move really long audio tracks to the left or right (millimeters). And it is just not possible, i already turned of the snap to grid function.
