well, my first go at this was definitely not fun. crashed live every time it tried to scan any of the wrapper vst's. so then i tried it in energy xt because at least it would not require a reboot to try again. finally got the LAN vst's to load in eXt, but could never get any audio back into the host...

yes, my machines are just sitting here linked via gigabit anyway, so i'm definitely going to give this a try. if nothing else, it sounds fun

sounds like you're loading mp3's? the program decodes them into a temp cache of wav's. that's just how it is. you can set cache sizes in the preferences.

so i've got two computers sitting right next to each other with a really short cable, gigabit ethernet connection between them.

there is a ram button, in fact there are many. there's one in every audio clip's view. it loads the sample into ram instead of reading it off the hard disk
