Whats the problem with the frequencies? Resonance? Think you answered the question yourself don't cut too much of either frequency. How many db you removing? You don't need to surgically remove the whole frequency just reduce them.

Yeah I do this to check my mixes on my Mix Cube. Just pop a utility on the master channel. It helps me check that everything has its own space. Plus a lot of time your music is played back on crappy systems so if it sounds good in mono it should sound good on anything....

It's probably a plugin. Go down the resampling route and you should be fine...

Didn't consider the Adams as making electronic music and was always told they favoured rock/acoustic styles. But going to make a trip into London next month to listen to a selection of monitors.

Bit of good old new york compression on the snare would probably bring it out. You've got other options than just red lining the channel strip.

Thanks for the responses. I'm not overly concerned with having a plethora of knobs and faders. Just want something that sounds great, has nice keys and the ability to be used as a midi keyboard to play my VST synths. So any suggestions are appreciated.
