Yikes. I hope that it doesn't do that for me. I'm just using it for the arp, so hopefully I'll be okay. Thanks for the data.

I haven't used them as clip triggers, only as drum pads, but you really don't need anything snazzy or complicated if you're just triggering clips.

Macbook Core Duo 2.0 Gigahertz
2 Gigs of RAM
Audio 8 DJ

156 ms latency.

I think I'd kill for 15.1 ms latency.

Sync-ing MPK49 with Ableton

Hey,

Does anyone know how to do this so I can use the MPK's built in arppeggiator? I tried setting the MPK's midi clock to external, then tried to send MIDI clock into in Ableton to the MPK49, but no such luck. Does anyone know how to work this? Let me know!

Thanks!

It's threads like this (and it's accompanying Russian one) that make me wish very, very hard that Ableton moderated this forum on some level.

Just google "Belvario Smart Mixer" and you'll find it. Or at least enough to get as far as I did. I'm still trying to figure out how to set the EQ in the sidechain.

dood....learn to beatmacth. I would rather spend my time on other skills such as creating mixes, playing samples, concentrating on measures, key matching, beat juggling, selecting tunes, playing with effects etc. As an Ableton Live mixer, beatmatching is redundant. Thankyou 'Midi Clock'! And then t...

I'm using smart mixing so I don't HAVE to use EQ3. I want to see what happen when a sidechain compressor takes out certain frequencies of outgoing / incoming automatically. I'm trying to see how many aspects of the DJing process I can automate.

Belvario's Smart Mixer - a question

So I've got my Ableton Live project setup mostly like the way that Belvario has set up his, but I'm a little confused as to how I should set up the EQs for the Hi/Mid/Lo submaster channels and the Hi/Mid/Lo Buss return channels. I'm using Jeremy Jive's DJ EQ. The way I've got it setup, the sidechain...

Interesting. IT's funny that you totally jumped over the "standard DJing" fence and landed directly in the "Live Remix" phase of skill. That's pretty awesome.

Wow. That's a really fantastic way to organize your tracks! I was thinking about doing something like that but it felt really intimidating for a beginner like me. Once I get a handle on more standard DJ mixing, I'll probably get into what you're doing.
