Re: Deadmau5
well, tons of deadmau5 stuff is not house. still caries some of his "style". fml sounds nothing like arguru, for example. or attention whore. strobe is a track that doesn't have the 4x4 beat till minute 6. quite some tracks have 3/4th rythms in. it's easy to just rant and call it "all...

Re: Deadmau5
A lot of people seem to be saying that all his stuff sounds the same but isn't that the same with every single musician out there. To people who dig a specific artist, their music will offer something different with every song but to someone who isn't into that artist or "genre" it'll all...

Re: Who uses presets?
In the end of the day the consumers on the floor have a better ear for that than the dj´s.. when the music gets to generic the clubs get empty..less dj´s booked..less records sold.. I really doubt that. The most popular clubs are the ones where the most generic house music is played. It's not like ...

Re: Deadmau5
indeed.
and most haters don't know more than maybe 2 or 3 songs. no wonder they say "they sound all the same". that's true for about any musician listening to 2, maybe 3 songs doesn't show the variety (esp if it's the 3 most popular songs).

Re: Mid Side EQ Tutorial
i liked it, too. the actual result in the video wasn't to my likings (too harsh somehow imho), but it showed the approach, and sure gave new ideas. i already put it to use of my likings in my stuff, so thanks.

Re: Flash ads are fucking up the internet.
adblock+ ftw. adblockfree on firefox and chrome since firefox 1.0. i just hope html5 ads will be blockable just as easy, else, i'd say, html5 ads are fucking up MY internet. other than that, html5 is quite awesome. i enjoy working with it. definitely the best time for developing html yet. html5, css...

Re: What Pieces of Hardware Will Be Classics in 5/10 years?
DNA is nothing new. around a year old? but yeah, it's great. and indeed, interactivity and performance will shape the sound of the future. we can get any sound by now, the question is, how do you get your sound? developing new kinds of "instruments" will mostly be creating new controller s...

Re: What Pieces of Hardware Will Be Classics in 5/10 years?
This is just an idea, and there are different ways to think of "classic" and many pieces are and will be pretty choice "classic". That said, for something to be near universally considered classic, one criteria could be "does it fill a niche that nothing else does?" - ...

Re: What will happen in ten years?
there won't be an "after 64bit". at least, not for computers. maybe for server-groups one day. 64bit allows 4 billion times the memory than 32bit. not just 2x. that's enough for an ordinary computer. but i agree with the auto-arange stuff. i'd love to see a DAW that integrates music theory...

135 3phase can't spell my name
but yeah, i understood your point, and actually noticed it. not, that i have a problem with it, but you described it well (better than your bug reports, much more detailed), and it sure is inconsistent.
