Re: wavelab 7 for snow leopard TBA at Musikmesse
Yeah - I've never used anything as good as Wavelab. Even Wave Editor, which is super-cool in many ways, still doesn't feel as intuitive to use.

You mean all those episodes of Lost I watched were a total waste of my time?

Still, better to know, eh?

Re: Do you put milk in your tea?
I've often wondered how much of a difference drinking tea vs. coffee in the studio has on the overall performances and sound. I'm British, so naturally we tend to drink tea during long sessions, but I know a lot of U.S studios run exclusively on coffee...and LOTS of it. Milk for me btw...just a spla...

Re: LOST
There's no answers that will satisfy anybody... all the drama is in the possibilities with 'Lost' - the hints and guesses.
That's why I enjoy it.

Re: Where's the "Lost" thread???
There was a split in the space/time continuum and now there are two Lost threads. Is this the real one, or the potential one? Or is it both? Is what I'm typing congruent at all with what's happening in the other version? Watched the whole thing again tonight - I'm liking the whole 'what if they nev...

LOST
I was sure there'd be a multi-page discussion about the new series by now...
Anyways - what do we think? I spent most of the time trying to remember where it left off in S5 but was pretty impressed overall. That sweeping shot from the plane right down to the ruins underwater was fantastic!

Re: assist me in choosing a condenser.
Yeah, the Vienna is a really nice mic. When it was first produced, a lot of reviewers wrote it off as another cheap chinese C12 wannabee, but ADK do make really great mics & I was blown away by how good they got this one to sound. It's one of a very short list of sub $500 mics that have that rea...

Re: assist me in choosing a condenser.
Only ever heard great things about Mike Joly's modding. Never had mine done, but my MC012 needs repairing - so I may swing for the mod too.

Re: assist me in choosing a condenser.
Of the mics you mention, the AT4040 is the one I'd go for. You will never, ever regret buying any of the Audio Technica 40 series mics & it will always hold its value.

Re: Who's testing out the Decapitator?
http://www.soundtoys.com/products/Decapitator/ Looks to be great if what they claim is true on the work thats been put into it. But its an iLok plug! 8O Interface is nice, except the 4 small buttons, one in each corner. I don't get what those are for. Maybe its some iLok specific stuff? :D Yep - th...
