Thanks Angstrom, that one lacks a bit detail in its curves, but demonstrates why I don't want no carpet in here. Carpets eat mid to high frequencies and make the room sound dull and boom as long as you don't get your bass frequencies down.

I think people usually go with 'standing waves' and 'interference patterns', comb filters are a process, not a result, IMO.
