Re: Idea for Launchpad users
I prefer 1/8s metro... (with the 'scene launch' buttons as 8 running lights.. I tried this just the other day and was having a problem. some lights stayed on some changed weird colors. I know that velocity plays a role in the which light comes on and I placed a velocity plug on the channel to look ...

Re: New User resourses and advice
That depends on what you want to do. Controller wise you can spend anywhere between $100- $500 depends on how much controller you want. Personally I think Knobs are very important. Look at Guitar Center.com or Sweetwater and search midi contollers. When you see one you like go look it up on youtube....

Re: Drum rack - question
I tend to use clip envelope modulation to alter the transpose paramater of the sampler pad in question, if i wanted to play it in I would create multiple pads.. each with a different transpose value. Its a bit lame as methods go, but it works. thats not lame. real time saver. I do it too. also good...

Re: New User resourses and advice
Think about what you want to do and then search for the way ableton can do it. Don't try to learn every trick in ableton in the beginning it's not necessary and will slow you down. you want to make a fat synth? then learn that move on to the next thing. Read the manual, dont worry about reading it c...

Re: Controlling lights / LEDs on my controller. How?
You can make them into clips in the session view then use follow actions and the loop function. You'll want to remove all the stop buttons on the rest of the track though (highlight ctrl-e)

Re: Controlling lights / LEDs on my controller. How?
I've not used your controller, but I have done similar things before. maybe you can create a separate midi track for your light commands and set it to a certain channel instead of all channels. set the output of the track to your controller's midi in.

Re: setting up Trigger Finger Newbie question....
it only maps the macros and the pads on the drum rack. i want to map the sliders, then save those mappings so that they are there every time I open a new drum rack. Indeed, this is what I do. Get to where I was telling you to go. once you have that working, close ableton open Enigma and copy The Nu...

Re: Tremolo.
When I use auto pan and I want less noticeable effect, I rack it in its own fx rack and then add a dry channel. ill use the little internal mixer to balance the effected sig with the dry one.
