This is known as a DC offset (or a number of other similar terms): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DC_bias . In order to save Valiumdupeuple from needing to push it himself, you might want to look at the handy PAM (Push-ArrangeMode) M4L device.

I’ve always explained this ‘feature’ of Live to myself as being related to the distinction between Live Projects and Live Sets. In Live’s mind you want to save new sets into the same project as before, which almost kinda makes sense
