Maybe I have my soundcard set wrong or something. I have the Audiophile 2496 and generally use the Analog 1/2 Delta AP setting for in & out, ( although there are other prefs & tbh I get a bit confused by them)
My midi contoller is the Mk 425c with midi via usb.

OK, thanks. Bear with me - so the Reason sound should show up in the "Audio From" box? Well, it doesn't seem to be there either - I just get Ext. In, Resampling or A & B Returns. I can see Rewire in my Application Support Library on my Mac hard drive, and again in the Propellerheads so...

Thanks. I'm on Mac OSX...are you sure I have to reinstall Reason? Seems a bit drastic - I thought rewire was detected automatically when the two apps were open together?

I'll try it as a last resort...but any more ideas would be welcome.

I can't seem to get Reason to show up as a rewire in Live. I follow the procedure described by the manual, but it's just not there in the I/O.

Any ideas?

I'm using the A/P 2496 soundcard & MK425c midi keys - maybe some midi pref I got wrong in Reason or Live?

I don't have a midi keyboard at the mo, but I like how it lets you use the computer keys. Does it do any notes other than C ?

Thanks guys...nice to know not everyone's on rip-roaring G5s & so on ;) The G4 does actually do a fairly decent job for such an old computer - it only really struggles when you pile up the plugs. Am slowly getting my head round Live and appreciating its' many attractions, but am working on a bit of an old Mac ( G4 450 tower).
Any tips for getting the best out of my set-up?
