when using Push as a midi controler in another DAW (ie Live is not open), touching the strip sends a C-1 note on message.
can anyone confirm this?
is there a fix to that?

yep, that's a major hassle that was introduced with Live 9. the concept behind that is that when you start recording a clip, all automated parameters will go to the last value that was set manually. in some cases it's helpful, but sometimes it can be disastrous: you can be playing an instrument fine...

FWIW, i've upgraded to Mavericks and audio glitches started to appear, with my FF400 as well as with the built-in soundcard. they were short but pretty bad, since the audio wasn't only muted, it was getting out of sync. switching back to Mountain Lion solved it. that's on a 2011 MBP with 8GB of RAM....

when you hide/unhide plugin GUIs (Command-Alt-P), the order of the windows is conserved for FX plugins, but not for VST Instruments: the instruments are always sent at the back.
