Does anyone know how to display DBs next to Ableton's audio meters in session view? There's not much point to them without the DBs for me.

I play my guitar in exactly the same way, using Guitar Rig as a VST in Live. I input my guitar through a Presonus Firebox to a prev-gen Macbook and get 8ms of latency. It works perfectly. All my tracks have a two measure count in that just has click on it (it is not the Ableton count in click; I have an actual click track as one of my tracks). Dies anybody know how to number these so that the measures are -2, -1? I am specifically asking because it would be nice for my tracks to star...

How does Live take advantage of multiple cores? Is it worth getting the 8-core 2.26GHz over the quad-core 2.93GHz? What about AUs and VSTs? Does Live effect how they utilize multi-core processors?

I use the Presonus Firebox live on stage with Ableton all the time. I have never had a snap crackle or pop. Sounds great, and built like a tank. It also runs off the firewire bus so one fewer power supply to drag around.

I went from 14-day demo, to another 14-day demo on a separate machine to that horrible waiting period with no save, to Live 7 Suite. Now I have Live 8 Suite for about a week, but have not installed it yet. Just waiting for things to shake out a bit.

If your feeling really ballsy, downshift instead of braking. That way, no brake lights to warn them. The downside is they may actually hit you a little bit.
