The mention of Bitwig evokes such strong emotions.

A good start..........

Just thought I'd kick off a discussion (which may dissovle into an argument).About what if anything is better about Bitwig than Ableton? Now the DAW has had enough time for people to get to grips with it I'm intersted to see if it lived up to the massive hype and buzz it recieved?

Can always rely on you Tarekith, thanks...... No real reason for leaving it on 96k. Just wasn't sure if you had set it to 44.1 every time when exporting your mastered track? Is there a rule?

I've got my mastering chain with a L3 at the end and I've selected 16 bit, dither type 1 on the plugin.... My question is what do you set Lives settings to? Do I leave it on 24 bit with no dither or do I select 16 bit and still no dither?? And is it ok to leave sample rate at 96K......?

Thanks for the responses guys….. I just dragged the master down 6db, cheers Tarekith. I don't know why but felt I had to leave it 0db and use the other faders to bring the volume into line. It felt a bit taboo changing the master fader to be honest as i always use it as my reference. Seems a bit sil...

Is it ok to send all your stems to a bus then turn that down by 3-6db to give yourself headroom? Or is it better to turn all faders down by the same amount? Im happy with the way the mix sounds, but its peaking to high. Just under 0db….

I've got a mix Im happy with and want to export the groups to stems for a final mixdown. I do this by selecting the groups individually as this selection is not available. I know if you render all the tracks it exports everything including the Return tracks. Do I need to export the Return tracks and...

Bit more invest......... The Open HiHats will play if there is no closed HiHats present. Why? If you remove a closed HiHat where an open one sits it plays a bit of the sound, but the next closed hihat will mute it/prevent it from playing the whole sample??

Ok on further investigation.............. Its only the Open HiHats on all the Kits. Wont play the actual sound just a click. Release is all the way open so nothing simple like that..... Any Ideas???
