"Third" is awesome.

I admit I went "WTF???" on my first listen thinking something had gone terribly wrong, but the second time around I was like "okeyyy, something's goin on here" and the third time around it had become "OMFG this is one awesome album!!!"

I´d LOVE a thread like this.

I´m most interested in hip-hop/trip-hop, reggae and latin stuff, like Santana...if anyone has any good tips or basic advice, I´d be over the moon.

What is left out in that instruction(and which I didn´t know when I first tried the utility trick) is that the sends that send to other sends are turned OFF by default, so you don't accidentally set up a feedback loop and blow your speakers. They are a subtly different shade of grey. So right click ...

Sounds very interesting. Have never used Impulse for anything except just...y´know, drums
Guess it´s time to start thinking outside the box and doing something different!

It would be cool if Ableton were to be the pioneer of OSC - but it´s a double-edged sword. Ableton is not the biggest player in the market. Someone like Steinberg could push VST because they were the big kid on the block - if Ableton "adopted" OSC, chances are the competitors would fancy t...

You should post this question in the General forum - Robert Henke answers some of the more esoteric questions there, but I rarely see him in here.

So no warp, no nothing, no EFX on the channel?

Hmm...

I´ve had problems with Live refusing to read certain MP3 files...might be a codec issue. Other than that I have no idea.

Is this problem isolated to just this one track? Have you tried playing other tunes?

I´m struggling with similar problems. I have been experimenting with ducking, with not so good results.

Just b/c the ability to sell and thus profit off of a product has become "futile" due to criminal piracy doesn't mean that the product becomes a "public good." It just means that criminality has outsmarted private enterprise and law enforcement and the producers of said product ...

In the future, all recorded music will be free, or donationware. This is an unavoidable result of technological advancement. Trying to prop up the "record" industry(as opposed to the music industry in general) is an exercise in futility akin to trying to keep horse carriage makers in buisn...

Cool. Thanks man. But from experience, or from just listening to a few of their songs, can anyone give me an easy way to achieve...say.... the bass sounds in "Idealistic" ?? In software only? Probably quite hard. Just from glancing at that kit list it´s obvious that they are using some re...
