Re: Best Cities With Great Music Scenes

Go back to twiddling knobs while pretending to be a musician, because that's all most computer "musicians" are. But this is seriously curious to me. We just had a discussion about this topic in another thread. So as a presumeably young person, who probably considers himself open towards n...

Re: Best Cities With Great Music Scenes

The more I think about it, I realize the perfect place does not exist... I mean, a city where I can make my art & find an audience, with lower cost of living, warm weather, beautiful streets & a liberal attitude is more of my fantasy... I might just have to swallow the fact that I will need ...

Re: Best Cities With Great Music Scenes

My original question is a very subjective one anyways. I might love one place & everyone else may hate it & vise versa. I've lived in a few places & traveled a bit through Europe. Some places I liked, some I just wasn't feeling. Traveling to a place & living there are two different t...

Re: Best Cities With Great Music Scenes

I'm not trying to argue with anyone here, I just did not appreciate your tone. When someone asks for a "best of" something, maybe you take issue with that for whatever reason. But I'm not here to be anyone's psychiatrist. Obviously you know of some cool places, which you just mentioned &am...

Re: Best Cities With Great Music Scenes

If people can't just be cool & answer questions without being snide, then don't say anything. Go back to twiddling knobs while pretending to be a musician, because that's all most computer "musicians" are.

Re: Best Cities With Great Music Scenes

The city def has perks as far as low rent goes but that is changing. I think it tries too hard to be London or NYC, but falls way short in the same opportunities because the ceiling there is very low. Plus the winters are dark & dreadful, although I find a charm to the UK rain... The point of my...

Re: Contemplating Using Live For Songwriting

I think their plugins sound great. Sculpture, Ultrabeat, Space Designer, etc. I think the ES2 sounds better than Analog, but NI kills them both... And although the official word is that there is no difference, I do prefer the Logic sound engine for recording. But that is a subjective thing at most &...

Re: Best Cities With Great Music Scenes

Maybe overhyped is not the right word. My expectations of Berlin were a bit short, given all the great music technology that comes from there in companies like Ableton & Native Instruments, I was expecting more a more cutting edge music scene from there & in my own opinion it sucked. Great p...

Re: Feature A = 440hz OR A = 432hz

Every ear is different, so it is unfair to call it bullshit. I prefer 432, it sounds more soothing to my ears. if you like 440, fine. But the option of 432 should be available, along with other tempered scales. It is one feature that Logic implements great.

Best Cities With Great Music Scenes

So here's the deal... I'm looking to relocate somewhere (preferably outside the US) & want to get some ideas of what cities people like & for what reasons. Ideally a nice music scene & busking possibilities should be there. I was just living in Berlin for a couple years & found it to...

Re: U2 Songs of Innocence

First-world problems... Seriously, it's not so bad. I like a few of the tracks on it. I think people just want something to complain about. At least it wasn't a Nicki Minaj album.
