Yes I do, and that's a nice suggestion. Besides USD 30, I also need to buy a plug (probably apple stuff, which will cost some). However, this looks interesting for when traveling.
Right now, I prefer actual VSTs over ipad apps.

Re: Best way to get to know modular synthesis
To explain further: I am looking for new and exciting modules, but for example Doepfer has got few hundreds of them. Youtube offers a lot of information and sound demo's, but I want to turn the knobs myself, to see how the modules react to my own sounds. So, I'm orientating in-the-box, to eventually...

Best way to get to know modular synthesis
Using Live Suite at the moment, while using a Intellijel atlantis as external intstrument. I don't know much about modular synthesis, but I really want to dive deeper into it. My thought is to find a realistic and economical way, by using a VST that simulates modular euroracks. This way, I can find ...

Re: Does Suite have a drum synth, or similar?
These Designer Drums already caught my attention a little while ago. They sound great. It is difficult to tweak them, cause for some reason it is very easy to make operator sound terrible.
Will definitely check out heartbeat and microtonic.

Re: Does Suite have a drum synth, or similar?
you should keep maschine for the drum synth .it's probably one of the more handy ones . learn on you tube how to use live Tools and synths and you will decide after . I can appreciate this approach. However, if there is a steep learning curve involved, I don't know if I want to use it. This might s...

Re: Does Suite have a drum synth, or similar?
Live has m4l drum synths but in my opinion they do not hold a candle to the Maschine ones. Forgot about those.. I am familiar with them, but they sound extremely thin/unnatural (or I am seriously lacking the skills for it, which is also very likely). Deleted it, and wasn't planning on using it ever...

Re: Does Suite have a drum synth, or similar?
I am about to sell my maschine. I simply hate it in every kind of way. If you decide to sell it please give me an offer. Alright, will do.. Just trying to find out a decent alternative at the moment. Your suggestions look pretty great. I am using the Kick 2 pluging (sonic academy), which does one v...

Does Suite have a drum synth, or similar?
I am about to sell my maschine. I simply hate it in every kind of way. Except for the drum synth. Does Live Suite have something similar featured? Sofar I haven't found anything. Also NI Komplete doesn't offer the same flexible way of drum tweaking (drumlab) I am open for suggestions. Might eventual...

Re: New Macbook (april 2016) worth any?
Hmm but it would probably run Live just fine I think. Won't be using it for a whole lot else.
The size is just perfect for throwing it into your bag.

New Macbook (april 2016) worth any?
http://www.apple.com/macbook/ It gets some promising reviews. http://thenextweb.com/apple/2016/05/15/2016-macbook-pro-review/ For me personally, the 12 inch looks appealing, as portability is all I am looking for at the moment. I don't like to spend € 2.500+ euro for a macbookpro either. Thing that...

Re: PC / Mac, different file structures?
I forgot to mention that the PC is 64 bit and macbook 32 bit.
Also, can PC-created ableton projects be used on macbook and vice versa? For me, this doesn't always work.

PC / Mac, different file structures?
I wanted to make my setup completely portable as below, but it's not working yet. Situation: I'm using PC at home, and macbook outdoors. Bought an external SSD to install all VST/samples/libraries i like to use. Want to use the SSD to store all my projects and doodles. I have installed all VST/sampl...

Re: "Recent" instruments in browser
I have a special notebook where i keep track of the presets i love. As well as in what projects ive used them.
It take a bit of effort, but it makes you appreciate your presets a lot more.

Re: Deleted my sample database by mistake
Yeh indeed.. And now I start to remember the things that put a lot of effort in, like creating that one particular hard kick with the amazing OOHMF in it. And the carefully sampled japanese horrormovies, that I wouldnt dare to watch ever again..
