nothing to add, other than "yup, that's the issue". I just dumped my mpc2500 after a long, bitter-sweet relationship for the 32, and this was the first thing I did (I used electrical tape though, works great).

apple/ command+ A is also a great shortcut for selecting lots of stuff.

yup. click on a clip so that it's editor is displayed at the bottom of the screen. then, highlight several clips by clicking, holding and dragging (or shift+click for adjacent clips). you'll now have a multi-clip selection with some of the editor functions available (transpose being one of them).

Sorry for the necro-bump, but this is the origional reason I sold this thing back in 2008...

I'm really in need of one again (my mpc2500 is getting a little long in the tooth) and am wondering if they've fixed this problem.

Obviously I'm a little bias, but why is being Ableton certified a shaky quality sign any more so than being Logic or ProTools certified? They actually make you prove your shit and are selective about who they choose.

One of the best decisions I ever made. Also an expensive decision.
