How do you do that sample slowdown thing, like a turn table
Sorry for the crap title. I don't really know how to describe it without an example.

Sounds great. love the instruments and overall song. I like my songs to move along pretty quick which may not be your thing, but here are my views anyway! The first 30 seconds are great. I would drop the big beats in at about 0:30 or at the latest 0:48. I think leaving it till 1:20 is too late. The ...

Cheers everyone for the comments. I've used 2 synths in this. One is the Operator which plays the bass riff at 0:15. This is layered about 4 times in different octives and effects/tone. The guitar sort of sound at the start and at 0:29 is samplemoog. Both synths have a load of compression/distortion...

Re: Electro pop (daft punk wannabe)
Shameless bump.
Even if you think it's tosh, I'd like to know honest!
If anyone has vocal sample ideas I'd be interested to hear them as I think it needs some vocals...

I think the Recommendations Thread may help a little. Maybe it needs to be a sticky.. I think some sort of chart would be good where people can rate the track out of 5 and leave a comment if they wish. Then the tracks are shown in a chart sort of order. I appreciate this is a forum and certain thing...

I've not used it as a midi controller. But to use it as an effect, here is what I did. Setup a new return track and add 'External Audio Effect' from the Audio Effects plugins. Wire up 2 of your soundcard outputs to the left/right inputs on the kp, and the 2 outputs of the kp to 2 inputs of your soun...

Why so little feedback in the 'link your music' forum?
Seems odd to me that people here are always so willing to give advise and help, yet no-one is interested in providing feedback on peoples tunes. Even if you are a complete novice with no technical ability, you can still have a listen to a tune and let the artist know what you think of it. Admittedly...

Electro pop (daft punk wannabe)
My latest.
Any feedback appreciated, good or bad! The mix doesn't sound punchy enough in my opinion but I don't know what else to try.
Cheers!

I like the production on it. And the instruments / sounds are great. My only feedback would be to cut it down a bit or make it go a further musically to keep you more engaged. I like the riff in the first half (0 - 2.33) but I think you should cut that down, and when those long chords come in at 2.3...
