Remix is a trimmed down Ableton Live, with many limitations. It is missing many features of Ableton Live. For me Remix would be no good, Ableton is much better.

It was a scam! The lap top was not a Vaio it was a Vpr Matrix and they had a Sony Vaio tag on it so it looked as if it was a Vaio. If you still want to see it, here you go- www.vprmatrix.com/products_notebook_200A5.asp

You can go to any computer store and they sell i-link to firewire cables and adapters. So sony lap tops do have firewire, they...

from the (midi/sync) tab where it says midi control device did you click on the downward arrow to the left of the words (none). Does the midi light top right corner of Live lite up when you touch the pads on the mpd16? If not maybe uninstall the mpd16 and read manual very carefully and try once more...

The pad should send and recieve midi from the usb cable. You do not need to connect midi cable to 6/2 from mpd16

I just realised in your post that you stated you have the usb out of the pad connected to the 6/2. I belive that you may have to have the 6/2 on it's own usb port and the pad also on it's own usb port, but I am not 100% sure so you should ask some one about that.

Make sure your mpd16 is set as a midi control device. To do so, with in Live click on (options) from the menu at top left of Live, then scroll down to (preferences) and click on it, then click the (midi/sync) tab and then set the mpd16 as your midi control device. Also did you install the midi/usb d...

Also look in to a 2 or 3 tier heavy duty keyboard stand, they could hold alot of gear and also look nice on stage. My whole set up fits on a 2 tier stand.

I already have a motu828 I have it in a rack case and it is big and bulky and I would really like a more portable system. I would like to leave the motu 828 home for recording use and what not, a...
