Push-only Manual inside
I edited the Ableton Live 9 manual to only contain the material about Push. Found it a lot easier to search for certain Push-related stuff while browsing the PDF. Thought I could share the PDF with other people who might be interested. The file is hosted in Sendspace, there's no hokus pokus or bogus...

Re: Why does live save several instances of a instrument preset?
The only time I've seen Live save extra versions with numbers like that is if you try to save the same thing more than once. You should be able to delete them. Where are they on the actual computer? Just move them somewhere else to start with. Ok, I probably messed up when trying to save the preset...

I'd also like to know this, in case anyone has figured it out.

Why does live save several instances of a instrument preset?
I've configured my Blofeld to work with Live (and Push), and saved an external isntrument rack preset, as "Blofeld.adv". Turned off Live, turned it back on again, went into the preset list to grab Blofeld - and hey presto - there's another 6 instances of the Blofeld preset! Blofeld-1.adv, ...

Re: Ableton and Push not in sync or sending MIDI too early?
Seems to be working better now when I turned off "delay compensation" - no idea why that was on in the first place.

Ableton and Push not in sync or sending MIDI too early?
I got my Push today, and have hooked it up to my Machinedrum, mapped out all the drum tracks. But when I'm using the drum sequencer in Push, the drum hits will trigger almost half a second before the actual step sequencer trig. Which is completely weird. I always though MIDI-timing issues came down ...

Yeah, I figured as much, but it'd be handy to know before I get it.

Re: headphones for studio (production and mixing)
I've got a pair of Sennheiser HD 600's, and I think they're excellent for mixing. Just sublime. Very transparent, I've always found that they translate the mix very well to other systems. They're comfortable to wear as well.

How much will it cost me to upgrade from Intro to Suite?
Hey guys! I'm going to buy a Push from a local store this week - I'm guessing it will come with Ableton Intro, but I need Ableton Suite to use Max for Live (right?) with Push. Anyways, I don't see any upgrade options in the shop here - so I was wondering, how much do I have to pay to upgrade from In...

How to trig audio from hardware with MIDI in Live 8?
yo peeps! I just got the Waldorf Microwave XT, been scratching the surface of it since I got it a couple of days ago, and although I love some of the sounds it can churn out, I'd like to be able to use it as I use the MonoMachine (tweaking multiple tracks while sequence is running). First off, this ...

Getting feedback from resonater when turned on - removable?
Hey people! I've just messed around with a track today, where one of the audio tracks is a sample that shifts between two resonators for sort of a melody thing (one of the resonators is tuned to one tone, and the other to another tone). The thing is, I've done it this way; to change tones, one of th...

Drum tabs/patterns - I wanna learn
So, I've got loads of tracks in my head, lots of drum beats and basses, melodies etc, but I have never really made music (except for playing shitty bass in a crap punk band a few years back), and I'd really like to learn how to make rhythms that actually sound good. I can make some rather basic rhyt...
